The perfect sequel to this movie would have been the gladiator Juba the Ethiopian returning to his homeland to find his family. The closure Maximus couldn't get in this life, in the setting of the magnificent Nubian kingdoms not portrayed in cinema
The problem with Gladiator II is that it constantly reminds you how much better Gladiator is.
That’s an impossible shadow to escape.
Few films ever ended more perfectly than Maximus walking through those wheat fields.
This woman saved Star Wars. Without her there would be no Star Wars. She went in and re-cut the trench run scene so it actually made sense after Lucas showed it to a bunch of people and they laughed at it. Seriously a legend. May the force be with you. Thank you.

@HomerPavlos All it would've taken was some adaptation. It didn't have to be historical perfection, just take cues from history and it could've been so visually interesting
I think it's less about accuracy and more about what looks good. This looks like a college football mascot/batman. It won't keep me from enjoying the movie but the filmmakers would've achieved something more visually interesting by adapting some ideas from the historical armor
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos now says they will keep Warner Bros’ theatrical model largely the same once they buy the studio.
“When this deal closes, we are in [the theatrical] business, and we’re going to do it… We didn’t buy this company to destroy that value”
Because as adults we get to access it in the form of narrative and let that curiosity lead the way, instead of having to cram a collection of facts from the world's driest textbook that seems engineered to be forgettable after the test
Tbh not sure why I was supposed to hate this. It accomplishes a much for the story. Eleven's powers are expanded in a way she'll need for the end, she's shown what living for revenge looks like, and by rejecting this life she has a more firm vision of who she's deciding to be
When society re-enforces that we are now built around transportation, work and distant connections rather than local community. Remember when houses had front porches?
