What does it mean to bargain in ‘good faith’? Showing up with sincere, good intention.
Spreading misinformation and using our children as pawns for political gain is not in ‘good faith’. Workers deserve a https://t.co/73UGT6Gedm

1/My son is autistic. He’s 9.5. Amazing. Solid. Unfettered strength that can take both his parents down. Non-conversational. Developmental age of under 3. No regard for danger. Hyperactive with a low attention span and rarely sits still for longer than a minute. He uses movement
CUPE members in Ontario, your fight is our fight! Unions across Canada supported us in our battle to protect Charter rights and now we are here for you.
Our Rep Assembly just voted to send you $1million so you don’t have to back down. @CUPEOntario@osbcucscso#onted#cdnpoli
#BREAKING: I've been removed from the House just now for calling @fordnation a liar AKA A SPADE A SPADE.
I guess some rules can't be broken in this place. But charter rules (i.e. HUMAN RIGHTS)? The gov't can trample over those nooo problem! SELECTIVITY AT ITS FINEST. #onpoli
A 13 year old student was asked to change their shirt today for Queen’s Park Question Period. because it was purple. Seriously.
The government that works for workers & cares about kids is monitoring children’s clothing choices.
This is your Ontario

I am not an Ontarian, or a teacher, or an education assistant, but I have a perspective on the Ford government’s “Keeping Students in Schools Act”. I was Minister of Education in Alberta for 7 years, including the time the Charter was developed and enacted. #onted#onpoli
It’s not just about “keeping kids in classrooms”. It should be about the teachers and educational support workers that make those rooms special. A classroom is a room. But great teachers, those people change lives. If you care about kids, support and pay teachers fairly. ❤️
Today I was kicked out of the Legislative chamber for calling Premier Ford a liar. I was joined by members of my caucus as we fight to defend our schools and our education workers. #onted

It’s shocking to me that we’ve got MPPs in power here in Ontario that think they deserve the $16,000 raise they gave themselves earlier this year but don’t think CUPE education workers deserve a raise of just $3.25 per hour so they can afford to put food on the table.
This is a very bad day for human rights in Canada friends. Ontario’s “Keeping Students in Schools Act” is a full out assault on fundamental labour rights. And its casual use of the notwithstanding clause points to a deeply troubling trend. 1/7
Let’s say it again: if you want to support students to “catch up” in their learning, you don’t remove funding from publicly funded education system & give it out privately as no-strings attached funding. You invest directly in classroom supports, including staffing #OntEd#OnPoli
(THREAD) The Minister of Education Stephen Lecce has made it clear that his only clear agenda this round of bargaining is to destroy the public education system, vilify the workers who make keep our schools open, and blatantly lie to the public about union demands. #Onted#OnPoli
#onted EAs are kicked, punched and spat on by some students and yet nothing is ever done about it. Is it because EAs are predominantly female and their positions aren't accompanied by a large wage? We need to do better by these workers.
SO THE REASON TEACHERS ARE SO UNDERPAID IS BECAUSE 76% OF TEACHERS ARE WOMEN AND SOCIETY DOES NOT VALUE THE WORK OF WOMEN, WHICH IS ALSO WHY MANY MALE TEACHERS BECOME ADMIN. IRONICALLY, 76% OF SUPERINTENDENTS ARE MEN BECAUSE MEN MAKE UP THE MAJORITY OF ADMIN.
