When I started my first job as a medical doctor, my parents knew how much I was earning monthly but they didn’t know I was earning more as a writer then.

I sent them a Christmas package that year, my dad called me immediately to ask where I got the money from, if I’m now stealing in Lagos.

Even as an adult, I had to explain my earnings to them because of the VALUE SYSTEM I was trained with, and that’s how I intend training my kids.
