Because they have different taste. Opus is more creative, GPT review is usually very strict, so when Opus come up with a plan I let Astra review it or suggest changes, and Opus usually accept them.
Also when Sol run into problem during dev, I let it call Astra itself as the expert for advice.
Astra is not that expensive as long as you don`t keep running it.
@leoleotoobad Don`t let Claude and Codex use the same AGENTS.md or prompt. The rules you write for GPT can piss off Claude, so keep two versions is really important.
If you want share context, you need another harness, like T3 Code.
@jpshrodinger Astra can already replace Opus, at least to some degree. So why we can`t really use it? Because Astra is too pricey.
So more usage is the real fix, not another model.
@Cuiszt_Cui For screen stuff sure. But for coding Terra only good on max, and on max it burn about same per task as Sol xhigh.
So how it save my allowance?
local model is not good enough right now. i run qwen3.8 27b on my own machine, benchmark put it around opus 4.6 but once you give it real project work it fall apart pretty fast
meanwhile 6.1 sol and 6.1 terra is cheap and actually get work done. even astra is not bad, just pricey
