It’s right there, shining bright,
Calling softly to your deep
But you ignore each sign,
Too busy being in love.
Now the love hurts
Not from the strange,
Not from the unseen,
Not from the unheard,
But from the very thing you ignored…
Oh, the red flags!!!
A BROKEN HEART
Yes, love fades.
Yes, feelings change.
The heart can’t be tamed
In love today, gone tomorrow.
And so I cry
Not for a fault of mine,
But because today,
Someone’s heart no longer reached for mine.
And that, too,
Is okay.
Sometimes, I find myself laughing at the irony,
Mocking my own despair.
And yet, deep within,
I yearn for that final silence—
The kind only a resting soul can know.
How I envy the dead—
The peace and stillness they eternally embrace.
Unburdened by the weight of this world,
Free from its chaos,
Surrounded by nothing but calm and quiet.
My heart feels unbearably heavy.
Thoughts race endlessly, colliding in my mind.
One worry leads to another,
A constant stream of concerns waiting their turn—
As if my mind were a crowded market at midday.
