Very exciting to see what is brewing in the South African cannabis market. Amazing to see SA now has lower inflation than most of the G7 nations. As for energy, SA has problems but take a look at the 300% energy inflation Germany is facing. We have the skills and low cost base...
Yup, as a non-smoker edibles are an acceptable gateway for me to Cannabis products, but there is still an adoption learning curve on identifying brands, suitable dosage etc. Most of us know what follows the phrase, "these cookies are not working "....

PROBLEM - big pharma and the main stream economy can't control a plant that can be/ has been grown in anyone's back yard. Expect the liberalisation of cannabis use to be in lock-step with growing industry regulation for commercial cultivation, barriers to entry effectively.
Historically there has been so much political commentary on the risk of poking the Russian bear....it seems the bear had no concept of the risk of kicking over the hornets nest! Crowd-Funding a war effort 👏 with individual and state participation..PRICELESS!😂
WTF....a write down from CA$ 250M to CA$47M on a single facility! How did Aurora cock that up so badly? Those are some expensive school fees to pay. 😬 https://t.co/y85NNIY4Do
So SA cultivators have realised that it is not so easy to access foreign off-take markets, who expect high standards and consistency. Dumping on the illicit local market is proving too tempting for licensed growers burning capital and unable to monetise crops. Heads will roll!
This is what happens when SAHPRA licence holders don't have the technical ability to supply international markets and no legitimate domestic market to off load product too. Something has to change...
There are so many different market signals at the moment. Emerging markets/ commodities are prone to boom&bust cycles as changing supply&demand phases find there level. All in cost of cultivation well be the holy grail, with quality just a given to be a contender!
Highly regulated sectors is create technical and financial barriers to entry. The establishment and funding of Co-Ops has to be the way forward for SA growers? There are a number of cannibus market segment, some will only be accessible to big biz. That is a different challenge.
On classic yacht Jacaranda in the North Adriatic. My old J24 racing spinnaker recut as a cruising shoot, 2012. Help me save Jacaranda and I will donate her to charity so others less fortunate can experience the Ocean. GO-Fund-Me link on my profile. #savingjacaranda
