Exciting news! The manuscript I'm going to start querying in the fall won the Claymore Award in the Children’s/Middle Grade category! Huge thanks to the judges and to everyone who has cheered me on and read my words along the way. #claymoreaward

Apparently I’ve reached the age where my mom buys me things like lumbar support cushions for my birthday.

@NC_Kay_author Thanks! Same to you!

New strategy: Going to write a book called “Offer Received.” That way, when I send out queries, the subject line of the email will be, “Query: OFFER RECEIVED.” 😄 Happy 4th of July, everyone! #amquerying #amwriting #writingcommunity

Well, it took all 30 days, but #Nanowrimo was a success! Congrats to all the winners!

Just found a typo in my query letter. Fortunately, it only went out to a few people in this form. Still… #amquerying

Let me guess: we all started having kids and stopped trying to keep up, just like every generation before us.

@writeteammentor Congratulations to all the winners!

[Nate Searle @N8Searle]

@danaevyn That’s awesome! I’d take that as a win!

[Nate Searle @N8Searle]

@KathrynFaye007 I hear ya! Terribly subjective business unfortunately, but it’s still hard to not get one’s hopes up. Happy to exchange chapters if you’re interested in a fresh set of eyes.

@Maria_Tureaud I have the emotion thesaurus and it’s been super helpful. Just ordered the emotional wound. Hard to ignore your endorsement!

[Nate Searle @N8Searle]

@laurenspieller 😂 cool, thanks!

[Nate Searle @N8Searle]

@laurenspieller How’s the market for YA dystopias these days?

[Nate Searle @N8Searle]

Big thanks to all the #revpit editors! Especially @jenichappelle, @Maria_Tureaud, and @hannahvanvels who I can shamelessly admit to submitting to! I’ve learned a lot, and it’s been fun keeping tabs on everything over the past few weeks! #revpitwaiting
