Assistant Physicians & Associate Physicians are graduate Medical Doctors, who are practicing primary care in underserved regions, awaiting Residency placement.
The clinical practice of Assistant and Associate Physicians is done under the supervision of fully licensed, board-certified Physicians within primary care, in medically under-served areas (while awaiting placement into residency training).
Our mission is to minimize disparities in healthcare access and shortage of professional healthcare services by utilizing the knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm of unmatched medical graduates to provide high quality health care services [both within Missouri and Nationally].
The National Association of Assistant/Associate Physicians (NAAP) was founded by Missouri-licensed Assistant Physicians in March 2020 and went on to file for non-profit status in November 2020.
