The LaVergne HS band program held its 6th Annual Concert Band Camp today, and NAAWS members Destin Miller (saxophones) and Daynah Charlow (flutes) served as guest clinicians, providing 1-on-1 instruction to the students to help prepare for their Concert Performance Assessment.

The camp allowed the band students to refine their skills and get valuable clinician feedback. LaVergne's band will showcase their musical skills at the CPA on Tuesday, February 28th, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.

NAAWS was invited to join Alexandro Nichols, band director at Thurgood Marshall Middle School, to play "Lift Every Voice and Sing" with his students. Mr. Nichols carefully taught his students this challenging piece as they later played the song with NAAWS for their BHM program.
