Are we living through the most dangerous nuclear moment since the dawn of the atomic age? The evidence suggests we are, and yet nuclear weapons have all but disappeared from public discourse in the West. https://t.co/i9p687Aw87 via @YouTube
Happy International Day for Women in Diplomacy!
We are proud to celebrate this today and every day. From our Women Waging Peace initiatives to supporting our youth leaders, inclusive diplomacy for all is at the heart of our work toward a just and peaceful world, one that is free of nuclear weapons.

This #Juneteenth, NAPF remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s call to confront racial injustice and nuclear weapons together.
In 1957, King called nuclear war "utterly catastrophic" and later urged the world to shift the arms race into a peace race. Read more: https://t.co/jAsnhRJNvA
From @IvanaNHughes: A Berlin public event, organized by EU MP @mvdschulenburg, interrogated whether the EU is sleepwalking toward nuclear war. With MIT's Ted Postol and author, politician, and German MP (2005-2025) @SevimDagdelen. A must-watch!

📜 Remembering @DanielEllsberg on the anniversary of his passing. Known for his courageous act of releasing the #PentagonPapers, he dedicated his life to advocating for peace and nuclear disarmament.
3/ On this anniversary, we honor Cora Weiss, who helped organize the June 12 rally as Director of the Riverside Church's Disarmament Program. A lifelong peace activist, she worked with Women Strike for Peace in the 1960s, mobilized against the Vietnam War, and served as President of the Hague Appeal for Peace.
1/ On June 12, 1982, over 1 million people converged in Central Park and marched on to the UN demanding an end to nuclear weapons. The largest protest in American history, the rally brought together hundreds of organizations united for global peace.
44 years later, that call is still urgent.

2/ To mark the anniversary, check out Shades of Disarmament, a short documentary by NAPF's @ReverseTT_ youth initiative spotlighting the activists of color who were there in 1982. It explores the intersection of nuclear disarmament, environmental justice, and human rights.

Spent the day yesterday speaking with a few hundred students at the Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics HS about nuclear weapons and #nuclearban. Many thanks to Ms. Jung and all of the other teachers for hosting me! #peace#education
#OTD in 1963, President John F. Kennedy’s commencement address at American University marked a pivotal moment in the nuclear age.
At a time when Cold War tensions were high, Kennedy called for open dialogue, mutual understanding, and arms control in hopes of de-escalation.
During his speech, the president recognized that nuclear weapons posed a shared threat to humanity.
This idea directly reflects the mission of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation: reducing nuclear dangers while promoting a safer world through diplomacy, cooperation, and the pursuit of nuclear disarmament.
This #WorldOceansDay we remember the lasting damage done by US nuclear testing in the Bikini Atoll and throughout the Pacific.
Our oceans are at the frontlines of the nuclear age, from nuclear testing, to nuclear armed submarines, waste contamination, and missiles lost at sea.
On #WorldEnviromentDay, here is a reminder that nuclear weapons harm our natural ecosystems and more.
