Go look at the state of Call of Duty right now. There is no “beauty” of SBMM. You either enjoy the game for what it is, and DESIRE to get better, or you accept that you suck and you just get on the game to enjoy yourself. That’s how it used to be.
2k became Pay to Play and not Pay to Win specifically. The most incentivized crowd to spend money on VC are the ones who think that their skill gap is merely a matter of hours that are being grind, and not by skill alone.
There’s a vast grey area of players who sit in between casual and comp, and that’s who’s complaining most right now
@frosty283268@Joey2KYT I agree with this lol. Late game 2k25 was pretty solid. Rhythm was relevant, but not OP. The RNG was obviously dumb, and I don’t agree with that. The defense was meh, but it was better than 26 lol. 27 is an atrocity
Brother 2k15 was 11 years ago, and online had just became a thing a year before that. There were way less mechanics involved (which might be a good thing lol). Idk what game you’re playing though but defenders are not OP by any stretch of the imagination lol. Rim running is off the charts right now, and idk if you’re seeing the same clips I’m seeing of people getting half court shorts greened in their face? 😂.
The catch is that the devs don’t even understand their own game. The idea that Mike Wang, and especially Ronnie, have more insight than the players who spend hundreds of hours actually playing the game is laughable. I don’t expect the ones who create the game as a job to turn around and then play it for hours to make sure the game is correct. That is precisely why playtests are a thing. They don’t do that though. Why?
@ChadBenz_ The CORRECT answer is that it is insanely inconsistent. The shooting is 110% broken. “There’s no RNG”, but when I can watch someone go a game 6/7 and then the next game it’s 1/6. And back and forth from there. NO ONE was saying this last year. 26’s problem was crabbing and fades
@WaayTooGone@Stahtistics_ Been a push release since they’ve dropped the cues. I’ve tried both Set and push this year, and push is always almost late.
This is a gem right here lol
Dropping game changing patches should not be the norm by any means. Especially considering VC prices. This has been a yearly trend from 2K, and they’re not ignorant to it. It’s very intentional they don’t do actual betas. They don’t want the game fixed. The want people to keep spending money
2K27’s release timing makes ZERO sense 😭
I have my jumpshot on RELEASE CUE.
That means I’m supposed to let go of X when the ball is LEAVING MY HANDS…
HOW is the game telling me “LATE” when I’m releasing the button while the ball is still at my CHEST??? 💀
I’m literally releasing BEFORE the ball leaves my hands and it’s STILL LATE.
How is this even possible??? 🤦♂️
#NBA2K27
2K community needs to understand that Activision repeatedly lied about SBMM in their games for a few years until people dove into the source code and caught them lying after they said it wasn’t a thing. The same thing is happening now. They are lying and gas lighting the 2k community into thinking the pure green window isn’t sustainable and that RNG is the only way to go. It’s their preferred Profit model
@choc Maybe it should be the last year these guys have a job. Is Mike Wang the lead dev? Bro don’t even play his own game, and has he ever actually picked up a basketball? The game is sold to shareholders. If it isn’t profit, then it doesn’t matter
