In October, 2022, two young lawyers Stanley Nnabuo and Boluwatife Sanya (Ibadan YLF Chair) were mercilessly beaten and tortured by officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ibadan for daring to secure the release of their client from unlawful detention.
