Thanks to @MmusiMaimane for addressing a non-populist but crucial issue for SA's progress and preparing kids for a competitive, and increasingly globalised job market. 30% is simply not good enough out there. Our children deserve to be taught to aim high. End the normalisation of below bare minimum just because a government Minister wants to be able trumpet “we met the pass rate.” To be frank, it’s disgusting. Political expediency & point scoring over a genuine commitment to quality educational outcomes & equipping our children with the tools to succeed in life.

Let's be clear. Sentencing a child trafficker who smuggled 14 minor females into South Africa from Moz to 6 months' imprisonment or a R6k fine (suspended for 3 yrs), makes a total mockery of the scourge of trafficking when a child vanishes into thin air every 5 hours here. Uber has becoming untenable for me, yesterday my trip moved from 3 to 15 minutes waiting time, then it went “no cars available”. @Uber please could consider removing the ability for drivers to see the value of the trip?
