The Buss brothers that could scout should have been allowed to stay. Hell of a run from Randle/Clarkson to Max Christie. A few misses here or there but extremely strong track record peaking in the 2017 summer league title from a scouting/development standpoint
Summer league hoops has some of the most selfish basketball ever played but you almost have to understand given 80% of rosters are fighting for their dreams
@forthefacts You can make that argument, but it’s ultimately meaningless. Both teams should be making major moves in the offseason and it’ll be a completely different scenario next year. So this is such a pointless statement in the grand scheme of things, what happened happened
@NBACARTALK And for some reason we count finals losses more harshly than playoff losses, so from a narrative perspective, Kobe benefitted from having more competition in the west for many years , because if the chips fall your way, the east was mostly an easy finals experience
@NBACARTALK Essentially Lebron faced way tougher teams in the finals due to being in the east, which is part of why his finals record is worse. 2008 is the only time I feel like Kobe had a tougher finals opponent than anyone he had to beat in the west beforehand, which isn’t anyone’s fault
