NewDEAL started with a simple belief: the future would be shaped by leaders solving problems in communities across the country.
15 years of impact and much more to come!

This week on #AnHonorableProfession State Rep.@MaiXiongMI discusses her journey as the daughter of Hmong refugees, her decision to run for office during the pandemic, and how she navigates political attacks while working to build trust across divides. 🎧 https://t.co/bKIp1eYyGj
Michigan Democrat State Senator Noah Arbit, whose district includes Temple Israel:
“I wanna — your viewers to really understand that when we talk about anti-Semitism, it's — it's live. It's real. It's not something that's from the 1930s. It is a real, deadly threat against your Jewish neighbors all across the United States and in the country...I think it's really important to understand that the relationship between hate speech and hate violence is cause and effect. And so, when people don't stand up and speak out or — or even worse, justify anti-Jewish rhetoric or discourse, it becomes a permission structure for people to view all Jews and Jewish institutions as legitimate targets of violence.”
“It's part of our value system that we want to build bridges with other communities and with other types of people. And the idea that the Jewish community would come for such vitriol and such targeted attack, both rhetorical and in terms of physical violence, is — it’s shocking, it's sad, and it must end.”
Hey @MayorBowser, where the HELL is the city cleanup effort with this snow? Especially in front of schools and daycares? I am one of the many DC parents slipping and falling while holding my baby over the treacherous mounds of snow!!!
IN’s decision to reject a GOP-favored House map reminds us that redistricting works when it’s transparent, accountable, & focused on voters- not political pressure
Hoping this slows the momentum behind last-minute map changes driven by national politics
