ATTENTION MELEE COMMUNITY: We have recovered and mapped Slippi Replays for majors dating back to 2022. Genesis, The Big House, Full House, Smash Summit, GOML, Shine, Riptide & more.
Most tournament pages now include Advanced Analytics.
This means we now have rich, tagged, in-game analytics for Top players and we've developed a system to map these for all future Majors, as well!
This will be invaluable for improvement tools, combo curation, improving Phillip, replay adoption, historical preservation, and so many more upcoming game-changing features
For the first time in the scene's history, all the dots are connecting to bring together the work of dozens of brilliantly talented and hardworking members of the scene: @Fizzi36, @jmlee337, @upgamer_Nicki, @iphone194629174, @StartGG, @stick_twt, @vlerkssbm, @nycmelee, @reindhir to name a few. And our TOs who have adopted hotswap week in and week out.
Replays are only as valuable as the context surrounding them. Now we have the full context. Melee will be the most richly analyzed competitive game of all time.
To start our week off

Back when 2XKO came out, most people didn't believe that Duos could win on the biggest stage.
Today, we have not one but TWO Duos in Top 8 winners side at Evo Vegas, the biggest tournament in the game's history.
Absolutely incredible. Let's see history get made.
Plup still has not lost a set in an open bracket Rivals of Aether II tournament. He has won every one heโs entered from winnersโ side.
Genesis X2: 1st/512 (9-0)
Evo 2025 Extended: 1st/363 (9-0)
Evo 2026: 1st/1022 (10-0)
As announced at #EVO2025, #CEO2026 returns to Orlando at the Rosen Shingle Creek on August 14-16, 2026! New month, same incredible experience as Evo Vegas shifts to June next year.
More details later this year.
I've always disliked the concept of "playing the way it's supposed to be played" because there's not really a correct way to play smash and while there are options that are more likely to work than others, the simple label of a "good option" and a "bad option" that is given by most people is what makes it predictable to know what option is gonna be picked at a mid-high level (and even top level sometimes), in the sense that the "good option" is more likely to be picked, therefore it's easier to predict and punish accordingly, while the bad option might be good because it's more unpredictable due to the label that is given to it.
The mindset of playing/not playing a certain way because it's supposed/not supposed to work is usually what holds a lot of people back from reaching the next level. Smash is a very expressive game with endless of possibilities and outcomes, give yourself the freedom to experiment all you want and find out yourself what works better for you.

Large scale, open bracket tournaments are a dead-end business model.
Most tournament organizers can't find the right balance between being community-driven or profit-driven, which causes:
- inefficiencies in running brackets
- inconsistent setups
- subpar viewer experience

@MuteAce Hey MuteAce. VibePrince, peach player from Trinidad here. We had our coaching session not too long ago. Ever since, I've been working hard on what you taught me. Smash is the only game I play and this opportunity would mean the world to me. Worth a try, thank you!
Looking for a mid/mid-high level player to study the game under me. I have ONE slot open for a true NEEDER.
Preferably: Iโve met you, you sweat from your heart, dedicated, moderate listening skills, and an open mind

I've seen some discussion on this site about Rivals of Aether II and the Stop Killing Games initiative. We have no issues with the initiative and I wrote a developer response on a Steam review to clear some things up and I think it would be worthwhile to share here too:
