Rural Texas teachers: this program walks alongside you on the path to National Board Certification with mentorship, community, and Professional Learning Days.
Applications are open for Cohort 2 of the Texas Teachers Collaborative. 💙
We are excited to launch our next Texas Teachers Collaborative cohort!
The Texas Teachers Collaborative walks alongside rural Texas teachers on the journey to National Board Certification, the profession's highest credential.
To support these teachers throughout the rigorous certification process, we provide:
- One-on-one mentorship with National Board Certified Teacher (NBCTs)
- Virtual monthly meetings
- In-person Professional Learning Days
Our first cohort brought together 60 teachers across 8 rural districts. They've reminded us what becomes possible when rural educators have a community behind them — and when deepening their practice becomes a pathway to grow, lead, and thrive without leaving the classrooms and communities they love.
Curious whether TTC is right for your district? Join us for an upcoming Information Session to hear how the program works, what district partnership looks like, and how to apply.

Rural teachers. Rural students. National Board Certification. 🎓
60 teachers across 8 rural Texas districts are showing up for the work, and for each other.
On March 11th, something powerful happened in Salado, Texas.
A group of dedicated educators from Salado ISD gathered for a Professional Learning Day as part of the Texas Teachers Collaborative, and they showed up fully.
These educators spent the day alongside peers, mentors, and their district coordinator collaborating, reflecting, and pushing forward on the National Board Components they are actively submitting this year.
This isn't a one-day event. It's a chapter in a longer journey of professional growth that takes commitment, courage, and heart. The impact of their commitment and growth advances our mission to provide accomplished teaching for our Texas Students in rural communities.
Our very own Senior Director of Programs, Dr. Amber Lynn Diaz, is proud to stand alongside them every step of the way.
The Texas Teachers Collaborative supports 60 teachers across 8 rural Texas districts — because rural students deserve accomplished teaching, and rural teachers deserve a strong foundation for the extraordinary work they do every single day.
A special thank you to Salado ISD for your partnership and dedication. 💙
