Great joint effort this morning from harbour helpers, bass rock volunteers and NBin bloom to tidy up weeds and litter from the harbour. Sprucing up the town for the judges tour on Friday 11th August. #KSBScotland#northberwick#eastlothian
With two, sometimes three broods over summer, its hard work being a #yellowhammer parent. This male was pausing for a rest with a beak full of what looks like #greenveinedwhite caterpillars and pupae for his young. #wildabouteastlothian
Tulip festival 2023. Once again Tulip ‘the first’ lives up to its name. There are over 50 varieties of tulips planted round the town and copies of our tulip leaflet in the Library and at the Station. #northberwick#eastlothian#tulips

East Lothian Council gardeners have created a Treasure Island design in the Lodge, North Berwick’s public park. Treasure Island was based on the island of Fidra which lies to the west of North Berwick. The plants were grown in the Council nursery in Prestonpans.
North Berwick in Bloom is helping to keep Scotland Beautiful by planting tulips for our annual tulip festival. Here we have Helmar, Dreaming maid, Blackhero and Salmon dynasty basking in the sun at the station @KSBScotland #RHSbloom#ourbloom#northberwick
Tulip variety Spring green is a new one for us this year. One of the Viridaflora group, named for the green colour in the flowers. Making a quietly elegant welcome for travellers arriving g at the station. #northberwick#ourbloom#tulips#tulipfestival
Our volunteers finished weeding and tidying the beds on Coos green yesterday. It’s worth a trip to see the stunning ceanothus and tamarisk combination now in full bloom. #northberwick#eastlothian#ourbloom#KSBScotland
