Welcome new followers. This is a pretty slow moving account, but after all l am a plant. You will see plant tips, and the odd nonpartisan comment about events surrounding me.
Sorry for so few postings lately. Anyway, my new kago companion continues to grow and, if he continues to thrive, we will have a naming contest. Just like we did for me.
We have made it past the frozen times. Although new avocado is still rather scraggly. Hopefully new avocado will get a name soon. Maybe time for another contest.
Nearing time for a naming contest for our newest avocado. Put on your thinking caps.

P.S. When fully rooted, and thriving, the library persons will have a naming contest.
New kago transferred from water jar to soil.
The library jungle. You can never have enough plants.
Lazarus 2.0 on his way to being a functioning avocado plant.
Baby avocado has a tiny sprout.
Baby kago developing a root.
In light, geez leaves are hard to type with.
I light of Lazarus’ imminent demise, a new baby is sprouting in the library.
It is with sadness I announce the end of the line for Lazarus. Poor kago just didn’t make it.
I hear rumors another will be in the works soon.
@dawnbvaughan Don’t walk on it in the rain, it gets very slick.
Also, this is a miserable rainy day. As a plant I like rain, but staff not so much.
Sorry it’s been a while since my last post.
Lazarus, true to his name, lost most of his leaves and branches, but is now making a comeback.
Sorry for the long silence. Things have been hopping around here. And then the holidays.
As you can see Lazarus is living up to his name. We expect he’ll recover.
I, on the other hand, am just going along. Slow and steady wins the race.
They have brought back the big crane. Wonder what’s happening?
And a picture of me with construction mess in the background outside the window.
Here’s a how it started, how it’s going post.
I have been informed that I have been remiss in updating. I am well and growing strong, as is Lazarus.
There is construction outside our window which is interesting.
First time we’ve been able to see the Nature Center and DEQ buildings (the modern green ones).
