Heads up!! The library will be closing early on Friday 27th June 2025 to facilitate attendance by library staff at staff briefing, the 4th floor will close at 2:30pm and the 5th floor will close with the remainder of Spencer Dock building at 4pm.

Just a heads-up that our hours will be slightly different this weekend:

Just a reminder that the library will be closed on Monday 17th March for St Patrick's Day. We will be open as normal on Tuesday 18th March, and we will be operating our normal Saturday hours on 15th March. Enjoy the bank holiday 🍀🌈

Due to adverse weather conditions, the opening hours for the 4th floor will be as follows: Wednesday 8th January, 8am - 5pm, Thursday 9th January, 12pm - 8pm. The 5th floor will be open 8am - 10pm as normal on both days. Stay safe (and warm)!

On Monday 23rd December, we will close at 1pm for the Christmas holidays. We will also be offering an online library support service via LibChat on 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st December.

The library elves have been working hard this semester and now it's time for us to celebrate! The fourth and fifth floor library floors will be closed from 5pm on Friday, December 13th to facilitate our staff Christmas party. #ncilibrary #nationalcollegeofireland

Due to essential maintenance work being carried out, the 4th floor silent study room will be closed from 8am-10am on Thursday, November 14th. The rest of the library will be open as normal. #ncilibrary #nationalcollegeofireland

The library will have extended opening hours until Friday 13th December. The library 4th floor will close on weekdays at 8pm as usual, but students may still use the library 5th floor until 10pm. Please note there will be no borrowing services after 8pm.
