'Soft skills' like authenticity, empathy and emotional regulation lead to systems high in #psychologicalsafety. When teams or organisations lose focus on those skills or don't model them, they lose safety. Hard skills only = hard, rigid systems. #whatactuallymatters

Twitter used to be one of my most used apps, and now it’s my least. I no longer see a reason for being here, but also recognise that means losing a great network of people I’ve connected with over the LinkedIn (weirdly) seems the place to be:

My friend and colleague James Briggs is running the Berlin Marathon next month for Anthony Nolan, hoping to raise as many much needed funds as possible.
For every £10 you donate, you are entered into a raffle to win some amazing prizes, all from local shops and restaurants!
Businesses closed, cultural events cancelled, students sent away from classes, workers sent home, people afraid to shop in their towns.
Years of social division and politics of hate lead us here. This is what "taking our country back" looks like.
They want to roam a wasteland.
Apparently it’s #BreastfeedingWeek, so I will say this:
Nobody should ever ever ever pressure, shame, or question you about whether you breastfeed or formula feed. Breastfeeding and formula feeding are morally neutral and EQUALLY HEALTHY choices. Do what’s best for your family.

An @NHSEngland report on "NHS Productivity" in May 2024 highlights the growing % of NHS staff who are new/inexperienced as a barrier to productivity & the need to get them up the learning curve faster.
New research suggests one catalyst for learning that is often lacking at this critical early career stage: psychological safety (PS). PS is needed for people to learn, collaborate & perform at work. People lose their sense of PS when they start a new job & it can take years to recover. However, departments with high PS reduce that decline & facilitate recovery: https://t.co/TmDZCBzvLN.
