Bill subscribes to ugly bball. Muck it up. Big men to clog the lane. It’s a different game now, & players have too much control. I worry that the good recruits will choose against KU based on our ugly, outdated style.

My point is that he’s rigid & his style is outdated. 5⭐️players are on to him.

If he’d just adapt to changing times like great coaches do (see Nick Saban interview on Ryan Clark’s pod), I believe KU would have more chips. 🤷‍♂️

We won the natty in ‘22 because of Remy. Remy put his middle finger up to Bill’s big man ball and took things over the way that good guards do.

And Bill rarely credits Remy for the Natty. Always “Big Dave.”

Today’s “landscape” has few 5⭐️players that want to play this type of scheme. Meanwhile, uptempo programs secure the best players, & KU does what it can with what’s left.
