🇪🇺 EU Delegation Visits NCRI Reception & Reintegration Centre.
NCRI Commissioner H.E. Liban Egal welcomed EU Acting Head of Mission H.E. Karin Gatt-Rutter & Ms. Isabelle Ribot.
The delegation met returning Somali citizens &reviewed support services promoting dignity, protection.

The FGS in partnership with the @EU & @iom_somalia , today facilitated the safe and dignified return of 181 Somalis who had been stranded in Libya.
NCRI Commissioner Mr. @LibanEgal stated that the returnees will receive temporary accommodation,food, medical&psychosocial supports.

The NCRI today welcomed 154 Somali nationals who voluntarily returned home from Yemen, where they had been living as refugees.
The returnees arrived safely in Mogadishu and will receive support to facilitate their reintegration and access to essential services.

Mr. Egal expressed his sincere appreciation to Dr. Mohamed Abdullahi Isse &Dr. Warsame Mohamud Ibar for their valuable support in renovating, equipping, supplying essential medicines to the emergency medical unit, strengthening health & protection services for communities.

NCRI Commissioner H.E.Liban Egal officially inaugurated the Somali Return and Reintegration Medical Unit at the Reception Center. The newly established unit will provide essential emergency healthcare and respond to the immediate medical needs of Somali returnees upon arrival.

NCRI has launched a health center for Somali returnees, providing medical care & emergency support.

H.E minister Ali Xosh met with Mr. Christophoros Politis, the newly appointed UNDP Representative in Somalia.
The meeting, attended by the NCRI Commissioner Mr. Liban Egal, focused on strengthening cooperation between the FGS & UNDP in peacebuilding, stabilization,reconciliation.

The meeting emphasized the impact of reduced humanitarian funding & the need for sustained assistance and durable solutions.

The NCRI of the FGS has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the @UNAOIC to strengthen collaboration in media, public awareness, and humanitarian affairs, with a focus on supporting refugees, IDPs, returnees, and other vulnerable communities.

The NCRI, in collaboration with @UNHCRSom ,has facilitated the voluntary return of 155 Somali refugees from Yemen. Upon their safe arrival at Mogadishu Airport, the returnees were received at the NCRI Waystation& received initial reception, protection, and reintegration support.

During his official visit to Saudi Arabia, NCRI Commissioner Mr. Liban Egal met with YUNA Director General Mohammed bin Abdul Rabbo Al-Yami in Jeddah to strengthen media cooperation on raising awareness of El Niño, supporting displaced community early warning efforts in Somalia.
