๐ฒ: It is good to be productive.
๐ฒ: You do not need to worry, though I am appreciative of your concern.
๐ฒ: It has been some time. It would be nice to see you.
๐ฒ: I know. That doesn't mean I'm not gonna worry about you, though
๐ฒ: Work's been keeping me busy, but I'm alright
...
๐ฒ: ๐ฌ
๐ฒ: I miss you
Been sending selfies to @NCSecure for like a week. Different locations, different expressions. In one of them, she's wearing one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes.
She doesn't expect him to reply, but she hopes they're at least making his day a little better.
It wasnโt a bad thing. It was justโฆa /thing/.
โNo apology necessary,โ he says in a low rumble, glancing briefly down as they zip out the gate before he takes a sharp turn, his elbows automatically tucking in to keep the Teddy secure, posture leaning forward.
โHave I everโ
Teddy's gonna take that as...a good thing?
It's always hard to tell with him.
Head still tipped back so she can talk to him. "I'm sorry." Sheepish little smile.
Being eight feet tall with a metal skeleton tends to give that impression, no matter how delicately one handles themselves.
Arms swing behind his back for hands to interlock, thumbs rubbing over one another.
โI am familiar. Most of these PMCs have an atmosphere I amโ
โIt is not particularly remarkable for its kind.โ
His head tips slightly to one side.
โKorTacโฆI believe I have met a few of your number before, though I am not especially familiar.โ
โI have not, but I know very little about you thus far.โ
His hand folds around hers with surprising restraint. A man grown used to handling the people around him with care.
When he needs to.
A single shake, and the hand slips away.
โMy name was chosen from a list.โ
โIt was interesting and somewhat peculiar.โ
After a beat, he clears his throat.
His bike is quieter than what Teddy might recognize, but still plenty loud enough to obscure, โAs well as a bit untoward.โ
Oh. "Was it uncomfortable for you too?" Oops.
As the bike starts moving, Teddy pushes herself back, just sinking into him happily. This is really nice. Then again, any time spent with Stratos is never bad.
โA massive hand extends, palm out, an offering to shake.
โStratos Incultix. Formerly 19-9 of the NC*PS Sec Guards. Presently the head of Section 19.โ
โMost people are strange to me. This is not unusual. It is the variety of which they are strange that is unique.โ
His affect is monotone, his face utterly blank and nearly devoid of expression, but thereโs a tiny twitch at the corner of his mouth as he says this.โ
โNo. I am not bored.โ
Hands slowly slot into the pockets of his dark, stiffly-starched uniform. The patch on his shoulder doesnโt reflect any of the usual PMCs, and any and all identifying markers like name or dog tags seem to be utterly absent.
โI apologize.โโ
โthat for very long,โ he muses, before the engine roars to life. Knees bump up to frame in Teddyโs legs, and after a moment of slower backing up, they tear off.
Probably a little less comfortable when he has to shift a little to try and accommodate.
Hips too wide for this to really be feasible in any capacity.
Position to compromising to ride for long. His posture slacks infinitesimally when Teddy turns around, and he leans forward.โ
also fine, honestly.
"Sorry." Head tipping back to give him a big, cheeky smile. "I'm ready now, I promise." Dang, she was really hoping that would have worked...
โHis other arm outstretches to settle the other hand on the handlebar, one heel bumping back to sweep the stand up.
โIt is alright. You never know until you try.โ
Eyes flick down without his head budging.
โHm.โ
Back up.
โI also do not know if I would be able to ride likeโ
