Laura Lindsey is the Chair of the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and mother to a 17-year-old daughter in public school in Cabarrus County. She is concerned for the safety of her daughter - and all daughters in the county she serves - because boys are currently accessing girls’ bathrooms in the public schools.
Her local school board is refusing to fix the problem. Yesterday, the US Department of Education opened an investigation into Cabarrus County for violating Title IX protections of women’s private spaces. Now, she is asking lawmakers to step up and Protect Our Daughters.

Congressman Mark Harris is standing up for Addy, Lyla, Sophia, and all the girls in our state who have been forced to share their private spaces - including bathrooms and locker rooms - with biological males in K-12 schools. And he is calling on elected officials to put a stop to this abuse now.
Thank you for your leadership, Congressman Harris. We must Protect Our Daughters in North Carolina.

A look back at our Legislative Day of Action for the Protect Our Daughters campaign!
We started the day with a rally and press conference, then split into groups to meet with legislators and urge them to protect women and girls in private spaces including bathrooms and locker rooms in K-12 schools.
We are so thankful for all who showed up and made their voices heard at the General Assembly!

I’m calling on the Office of Civil Rights @usedgov to directly address reports coming out of Cox Mill High School.
Girls should not have to share locker rooms or bathrooms with biological males. It’s against the law!

PROTECT OUR DAUGHTERS.
Today, I urged the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights to fully investigate reports coming out of Cabarrus County.
It's common sense! Girls should not be forced to share bathrooms or locker rooms with biological males.
Roy Cooper has spent years siding with the radical left over North Carolina girls. He allowed biological males in girls’ bathrooms. He allowed biological males in girls’ sports. He failed to protect our daughters every step of the way.
Enough is enough. Stand up for girls.
I will always stand ready to fight for girls rights.
Defending their safety, privacy, and dignity is not an option — it’s an obligation.
As a girl dad, it sickens me that any school district, any school principal, or any leader of young women would allow this to happen under their watch.
Three 9th grade students at Mount Pleasant High School in Cabarrus County, NC are speaking out on behalf of their friend.
Their friend encountered a biological male in the girls’ bathroom at Mount Pleasant. That experience, compounded by the lack of support she received from the adults in charge, has left her emotionally scarred.
Now, these students are asking lawmakers to do what their school officials will not: to protect their friend—and all girls—in female private spaces at school.

You never think it'll happen in your community until it does.
"Too Political" is code for too scared to protect our girls.
Boys belong nowhere near our girls' locker rooms and bathrooms.
We must codify Trump's EO to keep men out of women's sports.
PROTECT OUR DAUGHTERS!
Trista Ruck is a student at Cox Mill High School in Cabarrus County, NC. She and some of her friends have encountered a male in female bathrooms and locker rooms at their school.
Trista’s encounter left her feeling terrified, and now she is asking lawmakers to do what her local school board will not: to protect her and her friends in female private spaces at school.

Rep. Carla Cunningham spoke with clarity and conviction about parental rights in education today at the Oversight Committee hearing regarding Chapel Hill Carrboro City schools saying "no thanks" to abiding by the Parents Bill of Rights. Thank you, Rep. Cunningham, for standing up for families and for boldly affirming the importance of protecting the innocence of our children.

NC law prohibits the teaching gender and sexuality to K-4th graders in public schools. But Rep. Brenden Jones and his team discovered 155 books in Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools libraries that violated this law. Rep. Jones also filed a bill to remedy this problem by allowing parents to sue the school district for exposing their children to inappropriate sexual content at school.

Brooke Slusser lived with and played alongside a biologically male teammate without initially knowing on the women’s volleyball team at San José State University.
Brooke’s dad, Paul Slusser, spoke to us about what it was like to see his daughter endure that.
