With him likely out this season no one’s taking a risk at this point and giving up players they may need for this postseason.

Still crazy Notre Dame’s season basically ended in September — 2:53 left in the fourth— due to that botched snap vs. Texas A&M. After that, it did not matter how many games they won. They dominated for 10 straight games. That was their playoff game. September 13th.

@AmidonJacob @TheDunkCentral @SIChrisMannix I think if they can move on from Trae and then become immediate contenders with a lineup of Kyrie, Dyson, JJ, Okongwu, and AD they would be crazy to not think about it.

Their core is still really young with JJ, Okongwu and Dyson who can lead the team once AD and Kyrie move on.

@MavsFilmRoom I know no one wants to move Kyrie, but I think both sides win with a deal like this. DAL get the coveted NOP pick, a young wing player to develop and an established PG while ATL gets AD & Kyrie and immediately become title contenders in the East while keeping their young core.

Here’s how Notre Dame can exit their affiliate membership and completely destroy the ACC as we know it:

1. Notre Dame’s cleanest exit from the ACC deal: Sue for breach of anti disparagement clause over the 2025 CFP sabotage. Win = walk away penalty-free

2. Partial-member buyout: ND’s buyout is ~$50-100M today (way less than a full member’s $165+), but a successful breach lawsuit makes it $0 + possible $20-50M in damages from the ACC.

3. Hypothetical future: ND flips to a Big Ten partial deal in 2027
- 5 rotating B1G games/yr + fixed rivalry
- Keep full NBC money + $15M affiliate check
- Auto bowl ties & stronger CFP path. Big Ten gets massive ratings.

In the end, ACC loses its golden goose and FSU & Clemson leave shortly after. The ACC collapses.

@KevinGraySports Tank! If they finish as the 9 or 10 seed then the best you’ll finish is the 8th seed and end up getting swept by OKC.

We need to get a top 6 pick in 2026 draft, trade AD, Kyrie & Klay for a haul of picks and build around Flagg in hopes to be a contender in 3-4 years like DET.

@SportsSturm Thoughts on this trade idea for AD which I feel both teams would benefit from. Mavs get an established younger guy under team control, 2027 1st round pick, & dump salary starting next year while Spurs become a bigger contender w/ Wemby and Fox.
