Just a few days left of Women's History Month! Take a minute to fill out a recognition form for an "inspiring woman of NDC"--faculty/staff member, coach, or fellow student: https://t.co/yuBmrR1lwT
Sadly this is even more relevant today than when our staff member Mikel Mahoney created it a month ago. We are praying for peace, and committed to working for justice.
Here's the view with another group of students a week later (back in 2017). We miss you, Guatemala, and hope to return next year! https://t.co/tkoZQuP3X8
Another old photo from Guatemala, on the day we would have been returning home The fog obscuring a beautiful view. Kind of like life right now--very uncertain, but with beauty all around us. https://t.co/jlBkpINa1J
In Guatemala, NDC students serve at Nuevo Amanacer, a Christian school. We've taught sports, music, sex ed, and more. Currently the building is closed, while teachers deliver work to students' homes. They are paid through the school's sponsorship program: https://t.co/qd0HCU8nBo
Today our Guatemala group would have crossed Lake Atitlan for San Juan. From the last we've heard, San Juan has a strict curfew, and Guatemala has severely limited travel. Threat of disease and lack of tourism is affecting everyone, so keep them in your prayers!
Today we would have left for our Guatemala Immersion. Here is last year's group in the airport. Please pray for those who planned to go this year, those who've gone in the past, and especially our friends in Guatemala. #NDChasheart
