@TTChelps The bridge to Cherry Beach has apparently been closed since May 13. Nevertheless, the 202 bus is still dropping people next to it and saying "get out here for the beach" an unsignposted 7 km, 1h40m walk from their destination.

@TTChelps Bus currently short turns at New Cherry St / Commissioners, with verbal instructions to "walk to the beach from here". No word at any point that the Cherry St bridge is closed.

@GeorgeWHerbert @planeSSM @steffanwatkins The ARA San Juan probably had an internal pressurized volume somewhere in the range of 4,000 cubic meters. A deep sea submersible likely has an internal pressurized volume in the range of four or five cubic meters.

@steffanwatkins I've been reading news reports. Looks like the pressure vessel is a cylinder with hemispheric ends.

@steffanwatkins @GuardedDon @planeSSM This might seem straightforward, but of course the sea is extremely big and so it will take a great deal of effort and skill to find the missing vessel. Fortunately there are a large number of people who are extremely skilled and are currently expending a great deal of effort.
