In college, my boyfriend cheated, and I broke up with him. Except he wouldn’t accept that. He followed me everywhere. Broke into my dorm and stood over my bed while I slept. When I saw him, he said he’d force me to remember what we had.

I reported it to campus security, and they laughed and told me to not be so cold, the guy was having a hard time because I was such a heartbreaker.

I called a male friend crying and he drove over and slept on my floor, and took me to the actual police,,,The police also dismissed it, asking me if I was really going to ruin this guy’s life just because he wasn’t handling a breakup well? Wasn’t I being dramatic?

It was scary and I felt so helpless. I quickly found out that no one was going to take it seriously or help me.
