The Liberals’ “30 by 30” push isn’t creating protection, it’s stacking new bans on top of existing protections to hit an arbitrary international number.

When asked why the Liberals keep adding blanket prohibitions to waters already protected under the Oceans Act, CEPA, and the Fisheries Act… there were no real answers.

🚨The PBO is calling for an Independent Expert Body to safeguard the integrity of the federal budget.

The PBO warned the Finance Committee that the newly expanded definition of "capital investment" now allows typical operating expenses, like tax credits and subsidies, to be classified as “capital,” masking the true size of the operating deficit.

This reclassification has already created a ‼️$94-billion discrepancy in how the operating budget is being presented to Canadians.

The PBO was clear: to restore transparency and bring Canada’s fiscal reporting back in line with international standards, we need an independent expert body to set objective and credible criteria. Yet despite these serious concerns, the government has refused to adopt this essential recommendation.

Canadians deserve honesty and clarity in their budget, not shifting definitions that obscure the truth!
