New post is up! And I'm excited to finally start writing about Mongolia.
The capital city of Ulaanbaatar isn't exactly beloved by visitors, but I ended up loving it and would recommend spending two or three days there before heading out to the steppe.

Albania is home to quite an infuriating public transportation system and I ended up having so many travel disasters because of it!
In an effort to help others avoid the same pitfalls, here's everything you need to know about travelling the country by bus

It's been years since I last published a dramatic incident on the site, but after I had the most ridiculous travel day in Kosovo, I knew I had to share it all

It's time for another monthly travel summary! Last month, I went fully off-grid, camping on a little-known island with no power, no water, and a plethora of snakes.
I absolutely loved it.

My monthly travel summary for January is live on Substack! Last month, I discovered that Tunisia is one of the most underrated destinations on the planet, returned to Hong Kong, and spent a chaotic day checking out Macau for the first time

Did you know Hong Kong's Dragon Centre has an abandoned rollercoaster on its top floor? So cool! It was kinda eerie, but I loved getting to see it for myself
I can't believe how much Tunis looks like a Greek island! The neighbourhood of Sidi Bou Said is almost entirely painted in blue and white and it makes for such an aesthetic scene
A new year and a new annual review! In 2024, I travelled to an incredible 18 countries and had so many amazing experiences. Excited to share this one!

@Whereareweofft1 It helps! But it doesn't feel like a full replacement for comfortable, frequent, in-person hangouts with people I've known for decades. I either see my good friends once a year or repeatedly recount my entire backstory to people I hang out with for 3 days then never see again lol
Yep. Looks like I got out of the guidebooking game at the right moment as my beloved old employer @lonelyplanet goes full lets-just-cause-more-over-tourism by generating the same blah-blah itineraries that google throw up. https://t.co/E3ENoGq4Cp via @YouTube
