A trio of SCI Camp Hill employees presented at the 2024 Forensics Rights and Treatment Conference developed by @DrexelUniv, the DOC and community stakeholders. The virtual event was held Dec. 4 and 5, and it featured Psychological Services Associate Melissa Howley, Parole Agent Hannah Shepley and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Wendy Hoerner.
Howley shared from her 20 years of experience in victim services in a discussion about sex trafficking. In addition to creating a foundation for understanding the complexity of sex trafficking, her message to participants focused on understanding the importance of trauma-informed treatment for incarcerated sex trafficking victims.
Shepley and Hoerner presented a breakout session on personality disorders, including the common misconceptions about them.
