@FreeSpiritMage@AyanamiDaily We train for all ranges. Which has served us well because Angels haven't had a consistent strategy. Some attack at extreme range, others get close. Some use energy projections, others use biological attacks. We have to be ready for everything and adapt on the fly.
@AyanamiDaily@CountDaMedals Nicknames don't have to be unique to such an extreme degree, First.
Meatbrain. Jockstrap. Grumpy McSportsguy. Or just Suzahara, if you want to be boring.
@AyanamiDaily@CountDaMedals True, I'm a certified expert with pistols, rifles, and carbines, and sharpshooter in a number of other weapon types.
But I'm more likely to kick someone in the face unless a life is danger. Meatbrain calls me "Lady Facekick" for good reason. (And he would know from experience).
@AyanamiDaily@CountDaMedals True, but it's very well balanced and extremely versatile and reliable. The Colt 1911 is still one of my faves, and might be more up your alley. The Sig P226 is pretty good too, though if you'd prefer steel to aluminum alloy, they have the P226 X-Five. Never tried it though.
@AyanamiDaily@CountDaMedals The short-rail CZ-75 she uses is pretty hard to find these days. The modern versions aren't quite as durable and well-balanced.
I'd recommend the Canik Prime Radian. ๐ซ๐
@FreeSpiritMage@NERVAyanamiR We're like sisters. Sometimes we bicker, but we love each other; and if anyone wants to come after her, they've gotta get through me first.
@FreeSpiritMage He likes pretty much everything, but I think basketball is his favorite. I know he used to love playing it, before I squooshed him with my Eva. (Thankfully we've reached the point where we can joke about it now.)
As for me, I favor MMA a bit. I'm more of a gamer than a jock tho.
@FreeSpiritMage I don't watch them all that often (besides maybe snippets here and there), but Meatbrain watches a lot of them. And talks about them.
Constantly.
@FreeSpiritMage I'm actually in my Eva right now, helping move some heavy machinery from a resupply. One of the less glamorous jobs of an Eva pilot. I wouldn't be a good wing commander if I didn't do my share of the grunt work, though.
No longer sleeping.
No longer eating.
Hair grows like crazy.
Wounds heal in seconds to minutes, depending on severity.
Able to generate a defensive AT field.
Able to remotely pilot my Eva.
Das verrรผckte Leben eines Evangelion-Piloten. ๐คช
@FreeSpiritMage Yeah, with the nerve syncs, we feel what they feel. Sync rates would be pretty low otherwise. It's a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it makes us better at controlling the Evas, and fight better, but also means we get hurt more when our Evas are injured.
@FreeSpiritMage They both have their place, of course. Sometimes you have to get down and dirty, especially if your arms get ripped off. Which I don't recommend, by the way. It hurts. (Understatement)
@FreeSpiritMage It could also just be a different focus for her. She's far more in-tune with the more... hmm... corporeal aspects of Eva piloting. Close quarters, using her hands, teeth, whatever she needs to. The more... eh... beastly aspects of Eva nature. I've focused more on AT-field usage.
