@Rhomanoff @justin_hart You are basically correct though, since very recently First Republic went under as well. The media treats all banks as if they are one, which makes it difficult for the average person to know what to do with their money during times of crisis.

@Rhomanoff @justin_hart Small banks crash all the time. One should start paying attention when larger investment banks are crashing (Credit Suisse, Silicon Valley) instead of your local or regional commercial bank. Commercial banks are generally much more stable in crisis.
