14 months ago the government made clear commitments on improving nature recovery and access in National Parks - but there has been little progress 😡
We’re urgently calling on them to back our amendment to the #LevellingUp Bill and help these places thrive for nature 🍃
Partnering with @NFANews and @HantsIWWildlife to visit Roydon Woods Nature Reserve #NewForestNP with @Debbie_Tann and the Minister – seeing large-scale nature recovery in action.
We want to see more of this rolled out across our National Parks 🌿
Until 27 January 2023, you can comment on 2 proposed Public Space Protection Orders, which look to ban the lighting of fires and use of BBQs, and the feeding and petting of ponies, horses, mules, and donkeys in the New Forest.

A very frosty and unexpectedly colourful start to the day today, out on the open plains of the New Forest.
A welcome sight after weeks of wind and rain!

National Parks are UNDER THREAT. Funding deficits leave authorities with an impossible decision: sell off land or lose jobs. This week we're raising funds through the Big Give's #christmaschallenge22 to save National Parks. Read more: https://t.co/0FQVDhxh5j #givingtuesday
(1/4) *URGENT APPEAL*
Our National Parks, the very lungs of our Nation, are under imminent threat from swingeing cuts and damaging policies laid down by government. A funding crisis is forcing authorities to consider selling off this precious land...
Please think of others if taking part in firework events. Firework flashes and loud noises can cause distress to people and animals.
Follow @HantsIOW_fire for bonfire and firework advice.
The #NewForest is one of the most important sites for #fungi in Britain, some so rare & vulnerable they're included in the protected species list & it’s illegal to pick them.
We ask people to look but please don't pick. 🍄🔍

Our #deer conservation areas are important quiet areas for the deer to rest and feed during the #rut. We're asking people not to enter these to avoid disturbing deer. Please share and help us protect these wild animals. Learn more 👉https://t.co/IckDaNzuV1

At this time of year #bats are busy feeding up & finding mates to prepare themselves for hibernating over winter. They’ll build-up their fat reserves & choose to roost in quiet places like disused buildings or old trees. 🦇

At a time of nature and climate emergency, we must retain and strengthen the laws and policies which protect the National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales.

Hi @Jeremy_Hunt - we agree National Park status means “protection from unwanted development”. This is why we’re so worried about investment zones, freeports & bonfire of nature regs. Can you help us keep them safe?
Last week the National Parks movement in England and Wales came together to make a powerful case for why these landscapes matter. At a time of nature and climate emergency, we MUST retain and strengthen the laws and policies which protect our NPs and AONBs https://t.co/SvlxccEKxV
