Whether the intention is to empower or marginalise, the fact remains that when laws privilege one group of taxpaying citizens over another group of taxpaying citizens based on race, that is systemic racism by definition.
@Floyd_Narcisse It's great to see pride in our nation, but it shouldn't blind us into believing something is true when it isn't. We have the potential to be the best country in the world, but it will take a lot of time and work. I believe we can do it.
The USA has proven time and time again that it is an immensely powerful nation when it's in the hands of someone who wants to make a difference. It would be wiser to fix the shit in our country before mocking them and giving them a reason to look closer at our public affairs.
@Mmmroxx I still believe in a united south africa. If you look at how people get together in sports, it's proof that it's possible. I believe the racism and tension trickles down to the public from the government, and it's amplified by extreme parties.
@DlaminiLux@VusiThembekwayo@ShaneConnor A lot of the missiles Iran fired had pre-programmed coordinates, and they were refining nuclear material for the express purpose of using them. The world can be thankful they didn't have nukes to switch out the payloads on the pre-programmed missile courses.
@DlaminiLux@VusiThembekwayo@ShaneConnor Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons. The US used theirs because they were under attack from Japan. As soon as the US/Iran war started, Iran has fired missiles into countries that have nothing to do with the war.
@Tsumbe_Mulaudzi@VusiThembekwayo@ShaneConnor I don't really care about the flyover. It was obviously recklessly performed.
It is evil to drop bombs on children, yes. Why do you think terrorists build military outposts underneath schools and hospitals?
@VusiThembekwayo@ShaneConnor There's a difference between endangering the lives of people who have openly stated they're willing to use nukes to put the world into submission, and endangering the lives of innocent people because basic infrastructure isn't being maintained.
@washu7835@ErnstRoets And pretending that everything is colonialism's fault when there exists a flourishing country that got nuked 2 years before apartheid was codified, is equally disingenuous.
@Smartezzzz@eThekwiniM Those types of statements from municipalities shouldn't be necessary to make in the first place.
The government has fucked up so much that they normalised atrocious living standards for citizens, making people feel like it's "just another day."
They should feel ashamed.
@Tebza_jr @Brettbenraphael ANC, DA, EFF. Marlboro classic, blue or red? It's the same thing with a slightly different flavour, but still equally carcinogenic. I don't doubt that this country could be incredible for all of its citizens, but the first step is to vote for people who actually care.
@HatlaniSha15009@magicdan60 Ask the ANC politicians buying themselves mansions. You're fucking insane if you think our money goes to trump or the USA. The USA has donated billions to south Africa in USAID alone. They stopped because the ANC can't keep their hands in their own pockets. Wake up.
@awakendevine@dme_363 I have a morbid curiosity to see the EFF win the elections just to see how hard and fast the country will collapse. Surely communism and radicalism will fix our predicament lmao
@HatlaniSha15009@magicdan60 The Afrikaners running the country alongside the USA? You're retarded and delusional. Take some accountability and stop blaming other people for the shit you voted into parliament.
@MunwaliWaCode@vuyo_ro Capitalism is an open market everyone can compete in regardless of race and creed. Part of why we're in this mess right now is because of socialist equity based fuckery like BEEE. Equal opportunity is a bright future for most, equal outcome means everyone is equally poor
