I lost my dad in '06 in a flood accident when I was 4 years old. Less than a year prior, I had open heart surgery and fully recovered. I've struggled on and off with the loss of my dad for years and years. "HOME" from Nate's new EP has finally given me a way to cope with the loss and actually gives me a much healthier way of looking at it. Last night I visited my dad's grave and just sat there listening to Home over and over. Sobbing, but not in a way I've done so in the past. This time was more of a comforting sob to finally have a positive view on why these things happened. My dad isn't gone, he just found a new place to call home.
