Packers 33, Broncos 13.
Biggest preseason takeaways:
• Jordan Love led a 12-play, 63-yard TD drive on his only series, finishing it with a TD to MarShawn Lloyd.
• Bo Nix looked sharp: 6/9, 76 yards, TD. He hit Jaylen Waddle for 35 before finding RJ Harvey for a 21-yard TD.
• After Nix left, Denver stalled. Jarrett Stidham went 9/15 for 82 yards with an INT.
• Will Sheppard: 6/47/1.
• Kyle McCord: 12/19, 118 yards.
• Pierre Strong Jr. ripped a 68-yard kickoff return.
• Denver committed 10 penalties for 79 yards.

And then there’s Trey Smack… 👀
4/4 on FGs: 51, 59, 43 and 38 yards.
Green Bay might have found its kicker. 🦵

Panthers 34, Jaguars 17.
Biggest preseason takeaways:
• Bryce Young went 5/6 for 49 yards as Carolina’s starters scored a TD in just 11 offensive snaps.
• Jonathon Brooks started for Chuba Hubbard: 5 carries, 18 yards + a goal-line TD.
• Tetairoa McMillan flashed with a 17-yard catch.
• Jimmy Horn Jr. ripped off a 39-yard run.
• Kenny Pickett: 15/25, 137 yards, TD. John Metchie III led CAR with 6/77.
• Roc Taylor and Casey Washington caught TDs.
• Ryan Fitzgerald drilled FGs from 48 AND 61 yards.
• Carolina forced 2 turnovers, including a Chau Smith-Wade INT.
• Nick Mullens went 6/7 for 65 yards. Joey Aguilar finished 9/10 for 130 and a TD to Trebor Pena.
• Ameer Abdullah produced 82 total yards.
Important context: Jacksonville rested its starters after the joint practice, while Carolina also sat Chuba Hubbard, Xavier Legette and four defensive starters.
Carolina’s first units got exactly what they needed. Efficient offense, red-zone execution and defensive pressure.

Jets 17, Steelers 0.
The biggest preseason takeaways:
• Geno Smith went 7/7 for 65 yards and a TD on his only drive.
• NYJ forced Will Howard into 2 INTs and finished with 4 sacks.
• Rookie David Bailey flashed early pressure off the edge.
• Nate Lynn recorded 2 sacks.
• Pittsburgh OT Broderick Jones had another rough night in pass protection.
• Cade Klubnik went 10/14 for 75 yards, while Brady Cook threw NYJ’s other TD.
• Pittsburgh’s offense finished 0/2 in the red zone and was shut out.
Geno looked ready. The more important Jets development may have been the pressure and takeaways on defense.

Nick Chubb is officially retiring from the NFL at 30.
4× Pro Bowler.
7,349 rushing yards.
54 rushing TDs.
5.0 yards per carry.
One of the best pure runners of his generation, and one hell of a comeback after that devastating knee injury.
Nothing but respect for Nick Chubb. 🫡

Eagles made four roster moves Friday:
• Signed C Zeke Correll
• Signed WR/KR Brandon Hayes
• Placed CB Tariq Castro-Fields on IR
• Waived/injured WR Johnny Wilson
Hayes adds legitimate kick-return ability as Philly works through final roster decisions.

Saints preseason note for Saturday:
New Orleans plans to rest its starters vs. the Rams. Kendre Miller and Devin Neal are available after missing the opener, while Alvin Kamara and Audric Estimé will not play.
Zach Wilson and Spencer Rattler remain in the QB2 battle.

BREAKING: Ravens WR Rashod Bateman was arrested in Georgia following an alleged June incident involving his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle, according to TMZ.
Baltimore says it is aware of the situation, has been in direct communication with Bateman and notified the NFL league office.
No suspension or change to his football availability has been announced at this time.
This is now a situation I’m monitoring closely because any league discipline could have a direct impact on Baltimore’s WR rotation and fantasy outlook.

Cam Ward gave me the strongest Titans signal from today’s joint practice with Seattle.
Tennessee’s official practice report charted Ward 20-of-26 in team periods and 22-of-28 including 7-on-7. More important than the completion rate, he finished the two-minute drive with a TD to Daniel Bellinger and stayed composed when the situation tightened.
Wan’Dale Robinson led the practice with six catches. Gunnar Helm and Bellinger had four each, while Elic Ayomanor caught a red-zone TD and later drew a deep DPI that helped set up the two-minute score.
That’s the mechanism I care about. Ward took the underneath access Seattle gave him without losing the ability to create scoring chances. I’m moving his football stock up, but I’m not making a huge fantasy-rank jump off one joint practice.
Elsewhere, Tony Pollard scored in the red zone, Alontae Taylor had a pick-six and Joey Slye went 7-for-7. Carnell Tate returned, while Keldric Faulk did not practice and was called day-to-day with a shoulder issue.
Tennessee also signed Tanoh Kpassagnon and Milo Eifler, released Matt Lauter and placed Nazeeh Johnson on IR.
For Sunday DFS, I still need the final starter and QB rotation before treating today’s production as guaranteed game volume.

Seattle’s joint practice with Tennessee gave me a few things beyond the Jake Bobo knee injury I posted about earlier.
Bobo’s situation obviously matters for the WR depth chart, but I’m not automatically assigning those snaps to one receiver yet, especially with Montorie Foster Jr. also needing his status clarified after going down late.
The DFS note that caught my attention was George Holani. Sam Darnold hit him for a TD on a wheel route during team work.
That matters because it’s another path to fantasy points beyond carries. If Holani is getting legitimate receiving work and lands in the right preseason QB/RB wave Sunday, his Showdown ceiling changes.
I’m not promoting him off one rep. I’m adding the usage to the file and re-auditing Seattle’s full RB rotation before lock.

The Texans are moving quickly after losing WR Jayden Higgins, signing veterans Sterling Shepard and Zay Jones.
Houston just added two experienced receivers to a room that suddenly needed answers. For fantasy, I’m not assigning value off the names alone. The next thing that matters is where they line up, who gets first-team work, and whether either one earns a real route share with C.J. Stroud.
This WR rotation just became one to watch closely.

🚨 Eagles roster move: Philadelphia has waived WR Johnny Wilson.
That makes the back end of this WR battle even more interesting. Elijah Moore and Darius Cooper now have a clearer path to surviving final cuts, although neither spot should be treated as locked yet.
For fantasy and preseason DFS, this is exactly why I track roster movement this closely. One transaction can completely change who actually has a path to meaningful snaps.

🚨 Seahawks WR Jake Bobo suffered a serious knee injury during Friday’s joint practice with the Titans.
Mike Macdonald said the injury is expected to be long-term, with further testing determining the exact diagnosis.
That’s a meaningful hit to Seattle’s WR depth and could open additional preseason opportunities for the receivers fighting for roster spots.
For DFS, I’m not automatically promoting the “next WR up.” I want to see exactly who inherits Bobo’s snaps, formations and substitution wave.

@DevinsBookie I’m not buying the island yet, but I’m not signing the condemnation papers either!
73 through the air, 42 on the ground, a 37-yard run to the 5, plus gains of 21, 18 and 11 wiped out by Chargers penalties.
Property needs some work. I’m waiting on the inspection report! 😂
49ers 41, Chargers 17.
For anyone who missed it, here’s the full game story from SoFi.
San Francisco jumped on Los Angeles with contributions from everywhere. Brock Purdy played one series and finished 4-of-6 for 29 yards before the 49ers turned the game over to their reserves.
Jacob Cowing delivered one of the biggest plays of the night with an 83-yard punt-return touchdown. Sincere McCormick broke a 37-yard run and scored, Khalil Herbert added a short rushing touchdown, and Adrian Martinez bounced back from throwing a pick-six by later running for a touchdown and throwing another to Jordan Watkins.
Eddy Piñeiro added field goals from 48 and 45 yards as San Francisco kept piling up points across multiple units.
The Chargers got their biggest defensive moment from Junior Colson, who returned a Martinez interception 16 yards for a touchdown. Trey Lance also gave Los Angeles a spark with a 37-yard scramble that helped set up a Cameron Dicker field goal.
Late in the fourth quarter, DJ Uiagalelei connected with Jerand Bradley for a 28-yard touchdown to finish the Chargers’ scoring.
For San Francisco, De’Zhaun Stribling had another productive night with 4 catches for 46 yards, while Kaelon Black carried 8 times for 33 yards.
One concern for the 49ers was starting CB Renardo Green leaving with a hamstring injury. OL Austen Pleasants was also ruled out after being injured later in the game.
Final: 49ers 41, Chargers 17.
A lot happened in this one beyond the scoreboard, from young players making cases for roster spots to special teams and defensive scoring completely changing the game.

Raiders 22, Texans 20.
There was actually quite a bit worth carrying forward from this one.
Las Vegas erased a 20-3 deficit, and Aidan O’Connell delivered the strongest late-game quarterback showing of the night. He finished 15-of-24 for 166 yards and closed the comeback with a 96-yard game-winning drive, scoring himself on a 1-yard sneak.
The Raiders also got real production from the backfield. Mike Washington Jr. turned 11 touches into 74 scrimmage yards, Dylan Laube added 51 yards and a touchdown on seven touches, and Dare Ogunbowale broke a 19-yard TD run.
The kicking competition deserves attention too. Matt Gay connected from 52 yards, while Kansei Matsuzawa missed two extra points.
Houston’s starters had a shorter night. C.J. Stroud went 4-of-6 for 27 yards on his lone series, while Woody Marks flashed with 43 yards on five touches, including a 20-yard touchdown.
The Texans’ defense created one of the biggest plays of the game when Wade Woodaz returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown. Ka’imi Fairbairn was also excellent, drilling field goals from 51 and 57 yards.
Preseason results need context, but the usage, explosive plays, special-teams performances and who handled important situations all matter.
Those are the pieces I’m carrying forward from Raiders-Texans.

Commanders preseason DFS got a lot more interesting.
Dan Quinn says a good amount of the starters will play Saturday vs. Detroit, but Jayden Daniels is still TBD as Washington evaluates who’ll be available around him.
Rachaad White and C Nick Allegretti are OUT.
If Daniels sits, Sam Hartman and Athan Kaliakmanis could split major QB volume, while White’s absence opens carries behind him.
And don’t forget Drew Stevens. He won the kicking job earlier this week after Washington released Jake Moody, and he’s already shown 60-yard range.
Starter uncertainty + backup QB volume + possible stalled drives puts several DFS paths in play.

The Jets’ preseason QB picture changed today.
Geno Smith is now reported to start Friday at Pittsburgh after missing the opener with ankle soreness.
That gives us the first QB wave, but not the full DFS answer.
We still don’t know Geno’s exact workload or how the remaining snaps will split between Cade Klubnik, Bailey Zappe and Brady Cook. Klubnik could still carry more total volume even with Geno starting.
Breece Hall’s groin/Week 1 outlook, Stiggers’ return and several roster-bubble stories circulating today all came from earlier in the week.
Today’s actual development is Geno moving from uncertain to the reported starter.
#NFLDFSBluePrint
The Jaguars got an important piece of their offensive line back today.
Cole Van Lanen passed his physical and was activated from PUP after rehabbing the knee injury that ended his 2025 season. Jacksonville also re-signed OL Timothy McKay and released DT Quinton Bohanna.
With Patrick Mekari recovering from back surgery and the Jaguars already trading for Daniel Faalele Wednesday, they’re clearly attacking the OL depth problem.
One thing I’m not doing: calling today’s Travis Hunter headlines a new role change. His defense-heavy workload happened Wednesday.
For Friday’s preseason DFS slate, the biggest question is still unresolved: Liam Coen has not publicly committed to whether Trevor Lawrence and the starters will play.
#NFLDFSBluePrint
The Lions gave us two meaningful fantasy updates today.
Sam LaPorta missed his second straight practice with an aggravated hip. Dan Campbell feels good about him long term, but wouldn’t guarantee the issue is completely behind him by Week 1. I’m monitoring, not panic-dropping him.
For preseason DFS, the QB picture is much cleaner: Jared Goff will sit Saturday, Josh Dobbs starts, and Campbell plans to split the game evenly between Dobbs and Luke Altmyer. The QB2 battle is still open.
Detroit also worked out veteran guards Will Hernandez and Laken Tomlinson as the OL continues dealing with injuries, while CB Ennis Rakestraw left today’s practice with a lower-leg issue.
Real developments. No manufactured hierarchy changes.
