No one is dying on hills, Ken. Except maybe you with the kickoff analytic. But your personal challenges/attacks just initiated a block party. We’ll miss you.
Ken. I know what the analytics say. But thanks for mansplaining it to me. The fact is he went against all that, dominated the start of the game and put Carolina in a 7-0 hole. He got hammered for not taking the ball first in OT last week because the defense played about 13 mins of the fourth quarter. But stuck to the book. Results are all that matter. Scoreboard.
Bucs QB Baker Mayfield only attempted 11 passes in his return vs. Carolina, completing 7 for 64,yards and a TD. But the Bucs rushed for 258 yards, recorded five sacks and two INTs.
Bucs lead 43-6 on Sean Tucker’s 46 yard TD run. Tampa Bay has 254 yards rushing. Baker Mayfield has attempted only 11 passes, completing 7 for 64 yards and a TD to Tez Johnson. Bucky Irving has 106 yards rushing, Kenny Gainwell 88 and Sean Tucker 45 and a TD.
Bucs lead 33-6 at halftime on Baker Mayfield’s 14-yard TD pass on a scramble drill to Tez Johnson. That’s the third-most first half points by the Bucs in club history and the most since they scored 35 vs. Chicago in 2021.
Bucky Irving scores his second TD on a 1-yard run to increase the Bucs lead to 26-6 over Carolina. Irving now with 76 yards rushing and 2 TDs on 16 carries.
Been waiting for Calijah Kancey to make a big play and does. Al-Quadin Muhammad sacks Bryce Young, forces a fumble that is scooped by Calijah Kancey and returned 32 yards for a TD as he somersaults into the end zone. Bucs with a 17-0 lead, their biggest of the season.
Bucs expand their lead to 10-0 on Chase McLaughlin’s 22 yard FG with 14:12 remaining in the first half. Missed opportunity when Sean Tucker slipped on second-and-goal at the 2,yard line.
