Michael Thomas signing now leaves 4 players who are still holding out of #NFL training camp #Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott, #Jaguars Yannick Ngakoue, #Redskins Trent Williams, and #Chargers Melvin Gordon. Who do you think gets their deal first.
This new contract makes him the 5th highest-paid non QB in the #NFL with 4 defenders in front of him Khalil Mack, Aaron Donald, Demarcus Lawrence, and Frank Clark all making more avg/year than Thomas.
One of the holdout players gets their deal Michael Thomas signing of five-year $100 mil. contract with the New Orleans #Saints making him the highest paid WR in the #NFL.
The Seahawks made Bobby Wagner the highest paid offball linebacker in the league yesterday with a $54 mil. 3 year extension eclipsing CJ Mosley's record-breaking 5 year $85 mil. deal with Wagner earning $18 mil. a year vs Mosley's $17 mil. #NFL
The Detroit #Lions defensive line is now undoubtedly one of the best in the #NFL after signing Mike Daniels. Detroit can roll out a 4 man front of Flowers, Daniels, Harrison, and Hand. Absolutely lethal.
The 5 players that have at least 1500 rec. yds a season 3 times in their careers are Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown and Andre Johnson. #NFL
Julio Jones is 1 of only 5 players to have achieved at least 1500 rec. yds a season 3 times in his career and he also has the 2nd most rec. yds in a season so if somebody where to go for 3000 yds Julio might be your man. #NFL
To get 3000 rec. yds in a full NFL season you must avg. at least 187.5 yds/G to put that in perspective Calvin Johnson's avg. in his record 1964 rec yds year was at 122.8. Over a 4 game span Josh Gordon was able to avg 193.7 yds/G in one of the great 4 game runs in #NFL history.
@AdamSchefter The Cincinnati #Bengals giving Tyler Boyd's a 4 year $43 mil. extension make him the 20th highest paid WR in the #NFL based on avg/year coming in just above Tyler Lockett and Sterling Shepherd.
With all this information I come to the conclusion that when Odell Beckham jr. ia healthy and on a decent team he was a huge factor but not the sole reason the New York #Giants got more prime time games.
Looking at the prime time games the New York #Giants have played in 5 years with Odell Beckham JR and 5 years before him we see that they both come out to 25 games each on an average of 5 prime time games a year.
In 2015 and 16 Odell played in 31 games with the #Giants record at 17-15 with a playoff appearance vs 2017 and 18 he played in 16 games with the Giants going 8-24.
If the New York #Jets are actually looking to trade Le'Veon Bell they would only eat about $8 million in dead cap if they were to trade him post June 1st. #NFL
