We were kicking around some names today on MTS pod for SEA HC opening. One that came to mind- Jim Schwartz. He has HC experience, won SB as DC with PHI & has CLE defense playing lights out. However, the main reason was his record vs Kyle Shanahan. I believe he's 8-1 in their matchups as play callers.

Tennessee should pick up the phone and call Jim Schwartz’s agent.
In my career he is the smartest coach I have been around and the players play harder for him than any other.

For NFL owners looking for a head coach....calling good plays is way down the list imo.
Intelligence/leadership/organization/player development/game management/communication...are all more important than calling cool/innovative plays.

Just bc you have a great TE it should never stop you from drafting another. 12 and even 13 personnel puts the defense in a bind. Teams drafting faster/lighter LBs to defend the pass in todays NFL..so counter with more TEs and push them around. Bully ball.

The last 31 SB winners- 27 had either HOF or future HOF QBs. Can’t win w/o one. The QB doesn’t need life balance- must live and breath football. Be strong/tuff(short is ok), accurate, durable, enough AA,leader, handle crisis, smart…not need a cannon but pop gun arm no thanks.

Evaluating Bama’s Will Anderson Jr. Lots of missed tackles, gets bounced around, on the ground too much and I don’t love his motor. 243 pounds is real and concerning. Texas game he can’t finish and comes up with air. Be careful not to grade the helmet.

The Jacoby Brissett Effect
I have seen this before in an NFL locker room. Even in a short period of time, Brissett has become beloved amongst the players. Work ethic, smarts, character, etc. They all know Watson is the guy…but they won’t stand for another QB.
