It's confirmed that PUBG 2 aka the UE5 transition is still in development. They previously stated during the 2026 Road Map that it had to be delayed (originally slated for 2027 release).

It is now confirmed to be targeting 2028 release. This would put the alpha test for UE5 sometime in 2027.

Keep in mind this is separate from PUBG Black Budget (extraction shooter) and PUBG DEDNet (Rogue-Lite BR)

@laurawrr also clipped them confirming FPP is here to stay, but apparently TPP esports viewership increased so that's not going anywhere either.
