What a wonderful day yesterday in the Town of Broad Cove for the Ballfield Trailhead Greenspace project!
With the help of our amazing staff volunteers (and Boo the dog!), we worked alongside community members to begin transforming a wildfire-impacted area into a vibrant and accessible outdoor space.
This space will support recreation, environmental restoration, and community wellbeing, while representing resilience and renewal following the devastating wildfires that affected the region.
Thanks to everyone who pitched in - check out the photos! This is one of five exciting projects supported by Newfoundland Power’s EnviroFest 2026 grant program.
It's Environment Week, and we're excited to be kicking off EnviroFest today with our first project! 🥾🦺🌱🌲
All week long, our amazing staff volunteers will be teaming up with communities across our service area on meaningful and sustainable EnviroFest projects 🤝🙂💚
