A 10-days training programme on “Scientific Advancements in Wildlife Forensic Investigations” commenced on 28 Apr 2026 in collaboration with INTERPOL Global Academy. The course aims to strengthens the global response to wildlife trafficking. The curriculum integrates advanced species identification, crime scene management, and digital intelligence to equip law enforcement with necessary skillsets to disrupt transnational illicit networks. The initiative underscores NFSU's commitment to empowering officers through cutting-edge forensic technology and intelligence-led enforcement.
Students of NFSU Goa visited the Cyber Crime Police Station, Ribandar, on April 16, 2026, for specialized field exposure. The visit featured a technical session on real-world case studies and live evidence recovery protocols, bridging the gap between academic theory and frontline digital investigation. This practical exposure provided the students with a concrete understanding of the operational challenges and procedural rigors involved in modern digital defense.
The final stage of the National level @KaalChakra_CTF 2026 took place on April 11, 2026, at the NFSU Goa campus. The offline round featured the top 25 teams from across the country in a rigorous display of technical skill. Following the intense competition, winners claimed rewards from a prize pool valued at over ₹55 Lakhs. The top three teams secured cash prizes of ₹1,10,000, ₹60,000, and ₹30,000, alongside professional certifications and tool licenses. Such platforms remain vital for identifying elite talent and bridging the gap between theory and real-world challenges to foster a globally competitive cybersecurity workforce.

The session, led by Mr. Abhishek Singh, Incubation Manager at Atal Incubation Centre - Goa Institute of Management (AIC-GIM), the session provided students with technical insights into startup strategies and the essentials of business plan development. The event served as a platform for aspiring innovators to refine their ideas under professional industry guidance.

The preliminary round of the National Kalachakra CTF 2026 commenced on March 28, 2026. The event saw participation from 600+ students and 222+ teams from premier institutions across the country. Inaugurating the competition, the Campus Director, NFSU Goa highlighted the critical role of such platforms in enhancing skillset and talent pool including India’s global standing in cybersecurity. Notably, the event recorded 30% female participation, reflecting growing inclusivity in the field. The top 25 teams will now advance to the Offline Final Round on April 11, 2026, at the NFSU Goa campus to compete for a top position.
NFSU Goa Campus successfully organized a one-day hands-on workshop, "Silent Skulls: Visible Faces," on March 28, 2026, focusing on advanced facial reconstruction techniques for forensic identification. Inaugurating the event, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Kumar Chaudhary emphasized the global relevance of these methods when conventional evidence remains inconclusive. The workshop provided participants with practical exposure to scientific reconstruction from skeletal remains, alongside sessions on the integration of Artificial Intelligence and AR-VR technologies in human anatomy studies. The program underscores NFSU Goa’s commitment to interdisciplinary skill development and the advancement of cutting-edge forensic education in India.
NFSU Goa campus is organising 2 days “Hands-on Workshop on Forensic DNA Profiling” on 10th-11th April 2026. This workshop aimed at strengthening knowledge and practical skill in forensic DNA profiling using the advanced technology that will fill the gap between theoretical knowledge and application of standard DNA typing workflow. This workshop will provide to participants an intensive hands-on in entire workflow of DNA profiling including DNA extraction, quantification, STR genotyping and interpretation of DNA profile results using the advance version of instruments. Students of NFSU Goa Campus visited the three-day State Level Exhibition on Nyaya Sanhita at Kala Academy, Panaji, on March 26, 2026. Organised by Goa Police in collaboration with the Dept. of Prosecution, Forensic Science, Prisons, and Health, the exhibition featured thematic stalls and 40-minute skits to sensitise stakeholders on the major reforms of the new legal framework. The visit provided students with critical insights into the end-to-end handling of criminal cases—from the initial scene of crime investigation to trial and sentencing—underlining the enhanced role of forensic evidence in ensuring a time-bound and transparent justice system.
