At the grocery. Wearing my mask. Lady behind me, snarky & loud enough to make sure I heard, “don��t guess she realizes that stupid mask won’t do any good.” Me: “Honey, I’m an off duty nurse, I’m wearing it to protect YOU. But, I can take it off if you’d like.” She practically ran.
The Newton Food Pantry is unable to accept any in-kind donations at the time. We are in need of paper grocery-sized double-bagged bags & empty egg cartons. These can be dropped off at 61 Ballard Street, 36 Metacomet Road or in our bin outside City Hall any day except Wednesdays.
