I've been in the crypto space since 2017, but have recently decided to commit myself to learning the NFT space, as I view it as a major paradigm shift, and the future in more ways than one.

@mcheels51 @gamedisease_ Another idea, 2 part game. Divide the 12 into 2 teams of 6, alphabetically based on user name. Coin flip to eliminate half. Then the idea below based on GD pieces owned.

@mcheels51 @gamedisease_ I like quick and easy. Verify the remaining 12 contestants holdings of previous GD pieces. 1 piece = 1 point. Contestants with most pieces owned stay in the game. Use the rarity of the pieces as the tie-breaker. Quick, easy, and rewards the most loyal early collectors.

I bought some dots today. The art is ok, but more of a dice roll based on the mystic/mystery of the release. Floor pushing 0.8 at the moment. We shall see...

Demand has evaporated, sellers getting ansy (at a loss) and 4 floor breached...I'm expecting more downside before jumping in.

I picked up a piece from @Calibreus_ Highway of Colour collection today on Opensea. Beautiful photography, and I think this niche of the NFT market is underappreciated at the moment. An example (not mine):

My instinct tells me that something is coming for the insects, but I am a noob, so could be way off. Will watch and see.

I've been watching Alien Insects (Art Block Playground) per my thread yesterday...floor continues to sag over the last couple days while a select few wallets patiently accumulate. Couple of the buyers in particular are existing (and notable) TBOA members.

There have also been several sales of rarer traits today, picked up at a discount (2 Powerfield, 1 Irraditated). Looks like transfer from the impatient to the patient. Still over 20% of supply listed, so I'm waiting to pull the trigger, expecting floor to dip into the 3's soon.

@gengeomergence I've been waiting for the floor to lower before jumping in, but it has been more resilient than most other projects on Factory or Playground (has actually been inching higher over the last few days). Definitely want to grab one, but will be patient.

Another project I have been watching is Ecumenopolis by @gengeomergence on Art Blocks Playground. Really like it, and kind of has a Fidenza type of vibe to my untrained eye. Supply of 676, with about 20% listed.

@DarienBrito The floor has been creeping lower over the last few days, and looks like a fairly high % of the collection is listed for sale (25%, which is higher than most I've seen), so I'll probably wait to pull the trigger, but I like it. Looks like there are some big names that also own.

Hashtractors by @DarienBrito on Art Blocks Factory looks interesting to me, and is a bit of a different look/style to anything else I have seen on Art Blocks. Visually appealing, to me at least. Same artist as Pigments (on Curated), and low supply (128).

Thinking out loud, the PFP/memeable type of AB projects have been bid up lately (CatBlocks, Crypto Venetians, Dino Pals, Sail-o-bots), all on Factory and under 1k supply. Can/will Alien Insects by @shvembldr on Playground fit into that character category or not memeable enough?

his most ardent supporters that spent a week working to (speculatively) assemble their insect armies. I get that it needs to be selective, so as not to water down TBOA membership, just think it could have been structured differently to grown the base and reward supporters

I tend to believe that the low effort 10k PFP type projects will continue to taper off, and money will begin to flow (more) heavily to quality (AB, Arihz, etc...) as well as artist specific 1/1's and limited prints. @batsoupyum had a good tweet about this a few days ago.

This is exciting. Wouldn't be surprised to see this spark a wave of new NFT funds to enter the space over the next weeks/months. And they'll all be racing to pick up the most sought after pieces of collections and 1/1's from well know and up and coming artists.

I bought a couple pieces last week from the new Tactile Absences series from @skygolpe. I discovered them through some of their collaborations with @Hackatao and really like their style and work. New profile pic is "Forgotten Justice", a X/10 mint.
