I made a 120x on @fantasy_top_. Here’s how I did it. Fantasy is definitely not just a whales game!
Initial investment = 0.03 ETH ➡️
Season 1 profit = 3.7 ETH ($12000) + 500 @Blast_L2 Gold
My introduction to the game began during its testnet phase, where I familiarized myself with the gameplay and discovered its engaging nature. This early access enabled me to purchase a discounted pack for 0.03 ETH, containing 5 cards—4 common and 1 rare.
After assessing the market, I sold two of my lower-tier cards to acquire additional commons, optimizing my deck for competitive play. My strategic play in the flash tournament secured a top 2000 finish, earning me 5 gold.
The pivotal moment came during Main Tournament 1, where I ranked in the top 50%, rewarding me with a free card. This card turned out to be an Epic @CryptoKaleo, which significantly enhanced my deck's performance.
With the Epic @CryptoKaleo card, I surged into the top 100 players in Main Tournament 2, yielding 2 free cards and 56 Blast Gold. These cards included @MINHxDYNASTY and @evanvanness_eth commons.
Following Main Tournament 2, I decided to capitalize on my success by selling the Epic @CryptoKaleo card for 3.5 ETH. This strategic move secured a substantial profit while still leaving me competitively equipped for future tournaments.
Over the remainder of the season, my gameplay earned me approximately 400 additional Blast Gold, with my portfolio of cards now valued at about 0.2 ETH.
A heartfelt thank you to @fantasy_top_, @TravisBickle0x, @0xMikado, and @0xKipit for developing such an enjoyable and rewarding dapp (the best on @Blast_L2 imo). This experience has been the highlight of my crypto involvement since starting in 2017.
Congratulations to the team on a successful first season. I am eagerly anticipating what the future holds and am excited to continue my journey with Fantasy Top.
doomerism is a disease, a popular one. but things always work out
here's a few facts
global extreme poverty has been cut in HALF in the last 20 years
people have devices and AI that have all the information in the world that can be accessed instantly. enabling them to create anything they want or imagine
world gdp per capita continues to rise, especially in emerging economies
markets have a 100% recovery rate, 100% of the time
calling for a global recession year round, every day of the year, for half a decade isn't working out
be an optimist
the future is bright

I had Grok analyze it for the best 10 insights into how to make your posts go viral.
If this is interesting/helpful/useful for you, would love a bookmark/RT/share.
Here's what I learned:
1. Match User Embeddings for Out-of-Network Discovery:
Make posts that are semantically similar to viral posts/topics (or high-engagement user behavior).
The Phoenix Retrieval's two-tower model uses embeddings to fetch out-of-network candidates via dot product similarity...this basically means if your post doesn't align with a user's interest profile (e.g., via keywords, themes, or styles they've interacted with), it won't even enter the candidate pool for ranking.
If you've ever noticed better engagement on topics you've posted before that resonated w/ your audience....this is likely why.
2. Optimize for Multi-Action Engagement Predictions:
Design posts to encourage a mix of positive actions like likes, reposts, replies, shares, and long dwells (aka screen time).
The Phoenix Scorer predicts probabilities for over a dozen actions (e.g., P(like), P(repost), P(dwell)); high combined probabilities boost the weighted final score, making the post more likely to rank high and get recommended to more users. This explains why things start to pop-off and accelerate in views if they get lots of likes/RTs/etc
A Like+bookmark+RT is a holy grail for discovery.
3. Incorporate High-Quality Media for Interaction Boosts:
Include engaging visuals like expandable photos or videos with optimal durations that prompt actions such as video views or photo expansions. Ever wonder why the silly 4 picture expand stuff went viral? This is why.
The model explicitly predicts these (e.g., P(video_view), P(photo_expand)), and enriched metadata during candidate hydration favors media-rich posts, increasing their scoring potential and shareability.
This explains why shortform video is doing so well lately. Learn how to harness this.
4. Prioritize Recency to Bypass Age Filters:
Post timely content tied to current events or trends, as the algorithm's pre-scoring "AgeFilter" removes expired or old posts.
Fresh posts from Thunder's real-time ingestion (via Kafka streams) have a higher chance of in-network visibility, snowballing into out-of-network recommendations as engagements accumulate quickly.
Aka - don't be "old news" or you get memoryholed.
5. Avoid Author Over-Representation for Diversity Scoring:
If you're a frequent poster, space out content or collaborate with others to prevent the Author Diversity Scorer from down-weighting your posts.
Repeated authors in a user's feed get reduced scores, so virality favors unique or varied creator appearances to maintain high ranking across diverse user feeds.
ico recommendation - no more than 1 post/hour...that still seems to be pretty optimal in current algo
6. Steer Clear of Negative Action Triggers:
Create positive, non-controversial content that minimizes risks of reports, blocks, or mutes.
The weighted scorer subtracts points for predicted negative actions (e.g., P(report), P(block_author)), and filtered content (e.g., via muted keywords or blocked authors) gets entirely removed, halting any viral momentum.
This is why political/hot-button topic posters can sometimes experience disappearance from feeds...if they catch enough mutes/blocks/etc in a short time you get blackholed for a while.
ico thoughts - I don't love this one....it over-indexes for negative actions that don't always correlate to poor posting...this can be gamed.
7. Leverage Genuine User Behavior Over Heuristics:
Focus on authentic, value-driven content since the algorithm eliminates hand-engineered features...relevance is learned purely from user engagement patterns. AKA your little telegram engagement circles are fking you in the long run.
Posts that naturally align with what users have historically liked or shared (without gaming tactics) will score higher in the transformer's predictions, fostering organic virality.
8. Ensure Eligibility to Survive Multi-Layer Filtering:
Keep posts clean of spam, gore, violence, duplicates, or paywalls, as pre- and post-selection filters (e.g., removing blocked/muted content or conversation duplicates) eliminate ineligible candidates.
Viral posts must pass all checks to even reach scoring, emphasizing quality and compliance for widespread visibility.
You probably won't hit a viral post on a topic that's already saturated....or highly offensive.
9. Target Long-Dwell and Sharing for Score Amplification:
Build posts with in-depth, captivating narratives or questions that encourage prolonged reading (dwell) and sharing.
The final score heavily weights P(dwell) and P(share), which can amplify a post's ranking, leading to reposts that feed back into Thunder's in-network sourcing for exponential reach.
This is why in-depth articles and *smart* thoughtpieces or technical breakdowns perform well often - they achieve longer dwell times and sharing among networks.
10. Build Semantic Richness for Global Corpus Retrieval:
Use descriptive, keyword-rich language and hashtags that embed well in the candidate tower of Phoenix Retrieval.
Posts need to stand out in the global corpus for similarity search...those with broad appeal (e.g., humor, insights, or visuals matching diverse user towers) get retrieved more often, kickstarting virality through out-of-network exposure to non-followers.
This one surprised me a lot...it looks like they're bringing hashtags back.
Has anyone considered that perhaps the reason we can’t get new people to come to CT is because new people get screwed/exploited/max extracted almost immediately and nothing bad ever happens to the scammers?
What rational person would want to join that
