Hi! I'm Liana Friedman (She/Her), your @NFTY Social Action Vice President for the 5780-5781 term! Follow this account to stay up-to-date on social action!
A week ago, 30 of NFTY’s Social Action leaders gathered in Washington D.C. to learn about GVP, and committing our movement to the epidemic of gun violence. We are heartbroken by the news of El Paso and Dayton, and we will use our passion to build a world without gun violence.
Two mass shootings in one day. Our hearts weep for Dayton and El Paso. How can we accept rampant gun violence and bequeath such brokenness to our children? We cannot. #JewsDemandAction
Victory! Today, the House approved $50 million to study gun violence. Gun violence is a public health crisis in the United States and it should be researched as such. The Senate must act now to ensure this funding becomes law. #JewsDemandAction https://t.co/HpvSHMQq8v
Hi everyone! Jessica Becker your 5779-5780 SAVP signing on. I cannot wait to pursue justice, make memories and change the world with you all this year. I am so excited to open new doors and work with the Reform Jewish community and fellow change makers this year!!
Hey NFTY! It's been an honor to work alongside you this year, and I'm so proud of everything we've done to make the world just a little bit more just. Keep fighting the good fight. This is 2018-2019 NFTY SAVP, Zoe Terner, signing off.
So nice to meet you, Sen. @ChrisCoons! Thank you for your recognition of NFTY, and of how hard NFTY’s youth are working to make our world a safer place. #RAC19
Backstage here at #RAC19, before he went on stage, Sen. @ChrisCoons met with Rabbi @JonahPesner & @NFTY Social Action Vice President Zoe Terner to talk about our Jewish youth's vision for the future.
Our hearts break for the students and families in Colorado who are enduring the devastating consequences of gun violence. We mustn’t grow numb to this nightmare. Our children deserve better.
Powerful words from @NFTY-The Reform Jewish Youth Movement, who are hard at work with @AMarch4OurLives and @NAACP ensuring this June is the most powerful Gun Violence Prevention Month yet.
