17/18 After all skins in some games are already worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. For example this CSGO skin is being traded for $400k. Why not make the transaction 100% safe and secure on the blockchain. We aren’t too far away from mass adoption.🙏
16/18 as I said education and terminology is key. But your approach has to be methodical. You will never win with gamers if you’re trying to shove or throw NFTs in their face. Patience is the only answer. We build now so when the gaming bull run comes, we are ready.
15/18 this could be doubled or even tripled through blockchain integration. And clearly they already know this, which is why epic has stated they’re not against Web3 and NFTs. This also circles back to Meta and many other large tech companies dumping billions into web3 gaming.
14/18 initial release item sales by substantial amounts because gamers will be more willing to spend money on something they actually own and can sell to someone else whenever. Fortnite makes an estimated $1-5 billion dollars in revenue each year for their virtual skins sales.
13/18 faced this at one point in their lives. Now some gamers may ask why would game creators and publishers implement this? TRADING FEES. If Riot or Epic games implemented a 5% fee on every transaction they would rake in billions more revenue each year. This would also increase

10/18 skins to other players who may want to buy them. Thousands of dollars gone. The only option is to try and sell your account through a sketchy black market which could lead to you being either scammed or hardware banned from Fortnite. You could lose everything.
9/18 for 5 years and accumulated some of the best skins and items in the entire game. Now that’s awesome right? But what if you get bored and quit Fortnite? Or what happens if you get behind on your mortgage or desperately need to pay for something? You can’t sell your items or
8/18 the blockchain would benefit them. For example, almost every gamer has made a gaming purchase whether it was a digital video game or digital in game item. Sometimes gamers spend thousands of dollars buying these virtual items. Now imagine a world where you played Fortnite
7/18 How can we change this? Terminology and education is key, the acronym NFT is always going to have that negative stigma. Gamers need to understand how the blockchain can benefit them as an individual. The simplest way is to stop using the acronym and create scenarios where
6/18 Most traditional gamers “hate” NFTs still. The issue is they don’t understand how the blockchain and NFTs can benefit them as a gamer. They still believe it’s destroying the environment, that they can just “screenshot & save”, that NFTs are a scam, & so much more negativity.
5/18 Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney made it very clear that Epic would not follow in the footsteps of Minecraft by banning NFT integration. In fact, Epic has already allowed NFT and blockchain integrated games to launch on their store and platform. So what’s the current problem?
