🇰🇷 SOUTH KOREA DELAYS CRYPTO TAX TO 2029

South Korea just handed its traders two more tax-free years. Finance Minister Lee Hyoung-il announced today the government will push the 22% tax on crypto gains from January 2027 to 2029 — the FOURTH delay since the tax was legislated in 2020.

Why it matters: Korea is one of the world's biggest retail crypto markets. A 22% tax on gains above 2.5M won (~$1,870) was due to hit in just two months. That overhang is now gone, and the government is even proposing a 3-year loss carryforward for investors.

The official reason: aligning with the US-Korea crypto tax information exchange (CARF) starting in 2029.

⚠️ The catch: this still needs National Assembly approval — it is a proposal, not law yet. And the government flipped barely a month after insisting the January start would hold, so policy credibility is a fair question.

Still, for Korean traders and $BTC flows out of Seoul, this is a clear near-term tailwind. 🐂 or 🐻 — does a tax delay change anything for you?

south korea just delayed its crypto tax. again. 4th time since 2020

- 22% on yearly gains over ~$1,900
- was due january 2027. now 2029
- 3-year loss carryforward proposed
- official reason: lining up with the us tax data exchange that starts in 2029

the catch: it's a proposal. the national assembly still has to pass it

korea is one of the biggest retail crypto markets on earth. two more tax-free years keeps that crowd trading

priced in or underrated?

[nftdre @nftdre]

@getAlpineCipher yeah this. stripe moving usdc is the easy half. who actually clears the last mile into the bank is still the whole product for payroll

[nftdre @nftdre]

stripe just turned usdc into a payroll rail

us businesses can now send usdc or ousd straight to crypto wallets in 160+ markets. usually lands in minutes

- networks: solana, ethereum, base, stellar and more
- funded from usd or usdc balances, stripe handles conversion
- stablecoin volume is already ~$81.7b a week

the boring part is the bullish part. no token. just freelancers in 160 countries getting paid faster than a bank wire

would you take your pay in usdc?

US businesses can now send stablecoin payouts to crypto wallets in 160+ markets with @stripe Global Payouts, typically arriving in minutes.

Send OUSD or USDC directly from fiat or stablecoin balances in Stripe Treasury, with Stripe handling conversion as needed.

[nftdre @nftdre]

the tell is week two. if builders actually come back to launch on it, volume stays. if it's just the headline, the candle is the top

[nftdre @nftdre]

One hour of $CLANKER today did more volume on Coinbase than the whole week before it.

What changed? Not the product. The person.

Toady Hawk takes CEO on Tuesday, says "reboot," Jesse nods, and a two-year-old Base launchpad suddenly trades like a new coin.

CT will pay for a comeback story faster than for a feature.

New CEO pumps: real re-rate or exit liquidity?

[nftdre @nftdre]

@0xQuit is there only 6 1/1 - like 1 per each tier or you can pull 1/1 in same tier? thanks

$3,830 in USDT drained from a Trust Wallet. Real support never DMs on Discord.

[nftdre @nftdre]

trust wallet users are reporting drains again. here's what's confirmed vs not

confirmed: funds leaving wallets on-chain. at least one victim got hit by fake "support" in a discord server

not confirmed: any new app exploit. ignore the "ios link bug" rumors until trust wallet says it

what to do today:
- revoke old approvals
- used the old v2.68 browser extension (the dec 2025 hit)? treat that seed as burned. move to a fresh one
- support never DMs you. ever
- never type your seed into anything

checked your approvals this month?

[nftdre @nftdre]

@0xJonnyDee yeah fair, we're on the same page there. a year of calling it points then changing what they actually are at the end just burns trust. should've been clear from day one

[nftdre @nftdre]

kast points stop earning nov 30. no token. no tge

if you farmed kast, here's what actually matters now:

- first week of december your points convert to "kast pioneer units" (kpu)
- you have to confirm them in the app or you can lose them. set a reminder now
- kpus aren't tradable, aren't shares, no voting. cash-outs are tied to future milestones, nothing guaranteed
- some eligible purchases get vouchers instead
- anyone DMing you a "kpu claim link" is a scammer. in-app only

the card still works. the airdrop doesn't exist

how many points were you sitting on?

[nftdre @nftdre]

@0xJonnyDee fair. a year of 'points' that end as units you have to confirm in-app is a rough look

post wasn't a defense of it, just what farmers need to do before the deadline so they don't lose the allocation entirely

[Daniel @0xDani]

BREAKING: instead of launching a token, KAST is introducing KAST Pioneer Units (KPU) to reward early users

users will need to confirm their KPU in the app to keep them. missing the deadline could mean losing them

here's everything we know:

- in the first week of December, eligible users will have their Points converted into KPU
- users who don't qualify for KPU will receive vouchers they can use for eligible card purchases instead
- KAST plans to offer periodic options to cash out KPU in the future, but there are no confirmed dates or payment amounts yet
- KPU are not shares in KAST and don't give users ownership or voting rights
- KPU cannot be sold, transferred, or traded
- KPU have no guaranteed cash value
- the exact Points-to-KPU conversion rate hasn't been announced yet
- US users will have a separate program with different terms
- regular KAST card cashback will continue as usual

November 30 will be the last day to earn KAST Points

KAST says more details, including KPU balances, eligibility, and next steps, will be shared in early December

instead of a token launch, users will get KPU with the potential for future cash payouts

the audit prompt, paste it:

"check my usage for this cycle. list every routine with how often it runs and the last time it did something useful. for each one say: keep, slow down, switch to an event trigger, limit to my weekday waking hours, or delete. show me the plan first and change nothing until i say ok."

my answer to the q: a 10-min check that ran all night while i slept

[nftdre @nftdre]

everyone's grok bot weekly limit melted this week

for me it wasn't the chatting. it was routines running all night checking stuff nobody reads at 3am

the usage diet, steal it:

> ask your bot: "check my usage. which bots, routines and days used the most?"
> anything polling every 5-10 min goes hourly, or becomes a trigger (slack, github, email) so it only wakes when something actually happens
> pin schedules to your real hours. weekdays 9-6, not @hourly. nothing fires saturday at 3am
> watches end themselves. say "make it self-expiring" when you set one up
> delete the one-off routines that already ran and are still sitting there
> big jobs get a finish line. "do X, stop when Y" beats "keep an eye on it"

same bot. it just stops working the night shift

the audit prompt is in the reply

what's eating your limit right now?

south korea's financial regulator held an emergency meeting today over the $6.3b binance hack.

local exchanges were told to raise their cold wallet share and add reserves.

korean law already requires 80% of customer crypto in cold wallets.

binance was hit through a hot wallet.

[nftdre @nftdre]

$6.3b got pulled out of a binance hot wallet

then ~$7b of user money left binance

where did it go?

- okx: +$445m in
- bybit: +$112m in
- south korea's regulator called an emergency meeting today and told upbit, bithumb, coinone to hold even more in cold storage. the legal floor there is already 80%

read that again. people ran from one exchange to other exchanges

"exchanges get hacked" turned into "use a different exchange"

keep your trading balance on a cex. the rest goes to a wallet you hold the keys to

how much of your stack still sits on an exchange?

Yes, this reported implant was found in a device bought through CryptoBilis, which was an authorized seller at the time. We removed CryptoBilis on 9 October and started checking devices bought there. When this report came in, we published a warning as a precaution, before our lab had examined the device, so CryptoBilis buyers could move their funds straight away. Once the device reaches our lab, our security team will carry out a full investigation, and we’ll publish what we find.

[nftdre @nftdre]

a trezor safe 5 showed up with an extra circuit board inside

cellular module. reads the screen. sends it out

one device. bought from reseller cryptobilis in august. no confirmed losses so far

what matters:

- bought from cryptobilis since march 2026 → new wallet, new seed, move funds. don't reuse the old seed
- bought direct or from anyone else → trezor says no confirmed cases
- trezor cut cryptobilis on oct 9

your seed is only as safe as the box the device shipped in. buy direct. never use a seed that came with it

where'd you buy yours?
